Just a short 5 minute walk from the cottage is Long Pond, where you'll find a small beach with a swimmable pond. There is a playground and basketball court as well.

Try the 25 miles of old train line converted to a paved path for bikes and pedestrians. The route passes through Yarmouth, Dennis, Harwich, Brewster, Orleans, Eastham and Wellfleet and there are many places to stop along the way for drinks, snacks, shopping, etc.
Pro Tip: You can rent a bike at Bike Zone or Pedego Electric Bikes in Yarmouth close to the Rail Trail entrance. Call ahead for rental availability.
Parking: There are many parking lots along the trial. The closest parking to the house is on 460 Station Ave, South Yarmouth.

Our personal favorite, this popular Dennis beach is perfect for little ones due to its gentle waves and wading pools during low tide. About 15 minutes away.
