One of the best beaches on the island in our opinion and just a few minutes north of Kapa'a. The water is always a gorgeous blue, it's not usually too busy and the waves are just right for boogie boarding or intermediate surfing. They also have bathrooms and showers as well as picnic tables if you want to pack a meal with you for the day.

Keālia Beach

A very cool little town in the south with a historic main street crisscrossed with really great art galleries, restaurants, book stores and the well known swinging bridge. Great place to stop on your way to or from the Waimea Canyon.

Delicious burgers made with 100% grass fed Kaua'i beef and super tasty sushi burritos. These guys have been featured on Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives and for good reason! They have 3 locations on the island in Kapa's, Lihue and Koloa so you're never too far away!

One of our favourite spots for breakfast, the Olympic cafe has a large menu with something for everyone. It's a second floor, open air restaurant with views of downtown and the ocean. The staff are always fantastic and they usually have you seated without much of a wait, if any.

Paco's Tacos is an authentic Mexican family restaurant with outstanding tacos and margaritas among other great Mexican fare as well as a great breakfast menu. They have 4 locations around the island in Kapa'a, Kilauea, Poipu and Kalaheo.

It's also BYOB and there is an ABC Store right next door so you can stock up right before you arrive or top up if need be. There is a minimum spend of $15 which is a steal for some delicious food and great tunes!

Recently voted the most romantic restaurant on Kauai, it's got amazing food and is right on the ocean with views of their amazing garden. It's only a 5 minute walk from the condo but it does fill up so be sure to call ahead for a reservation!

Who doesn't want to visit the place where Puff The Magic Dragon is from?? It's one of the most magical places in all of Kaua'i. The beach is stunning and home to the historic Hanalei Pier that you'll see in many photos & painting around the island. The town of Hanalei also has a lot of really cool shops, galleries and restaurants surrounded by beautiful taro fields and waterfalls off in the distance. A must visit for anyone traveling to Kaua'i.
