Manitou Springs is the gateway to the mountain towns in the Colorado Springs area. Being a combination of mountain town and larger city, this area has plenty of beautiful local hikes, restaurants, breweries and shops.
This mountain is the highest mountain peak in the South Front Range. At a Peak altitude of 14,115 feet this mountain is a great location in the summer time for visitors and locals alike. With three different routes to the top you can have anywhere from an all day hike, mid-day hike, or with the road going to the peak, an hour or so drive! There is a well known doughnut shop at the top that is usually a stop for many people at the peak of Pikes Peak.

The views at the top and the hard earned food and drinks afterward make this hike very popular and great for people visiting. This hike is a very difficult hike and is recommended to bring plenty of water for the hike up.
