Food scene

From pizza and a beer to fine dining. We have you covered! We highly recommend the Whitney House. 2 Free meals for the family, on us, when you book 3 months or more!
The restaurant’s name is based upon Whitney Avenue, a street in Worthington where Brown’s wife once lived. It was a warm, welcoming place where friends and family would constantly come to hang out. Avon and Brown wanted the restaurant to emulate that warmth, and make it a place where customers could feel at home. They serve American comfort food done well, with a menu that Avon describes as ‘rustic, yet refined.’ “We asked ourselves, ‘What do we like to eat, and how can we make our version the best version of that food you’ve ever eaten?” said Avon.

Already have a growler? (We have you covered) Great…customers are welcome to bring in their own growlers as well (either those you’ve purchased previously from us or elsewhere). Our policy is to swap out your old growler (at no cost) with a new one to be filled. Using our own freshly cleaned growlers ensures proper chilling and sanitization prior to use. This allows Porch Growler to guarantee the freshness and quality of the beer being consumed. Customers not fully satisfied with the beer’s quality may return their purchase and receive a full refund and a discount off their next growler fill. Enjoy one on US! minors are welcome on site until 9 pm nightly and are encouraged to play one of the many board games available on the shelves, order some refreshing draft root beer, and take a turn at our pinball game. Pets are welcome on our front patio, weather permitting, as long as they are leashed and have a friendly owner on-hand to vouch for them 🙂 We stock fresh water bowls on the patio and doggie treats behind the bar. While Porch Growler doesn’t have its own kitchen, we do partner with Pizza Primo across the street, whereby you can order their full menu from our staff, and the food will be brought to your table. Customers may also bring in their own food, or utilize delivery services such as DoorDash / Grubhub / etc. Cheers!!
