An absolutely gorgeous spot nestled 6km off the highway through a bushy glade. Tons of beautiful walking tracks & a very clean and clear lake to go take a dip over the warmer months.
A gorgeous natural hot spring that meets a cold river, creating a very healing and relaxing swim in the gorgeous Waitangi Sofa spring. Note this is not your standard hotpool, it’s all natural, bar a few fences being put up around the baths so the water might look a bit murkey but that’s because its completely natural with geothermal springs releasing small pockets of mineral rich, thermal mud which you may see floating on the surface of the baths. A must do while in the area, especially during the cooler months.

Waitangi Soda Springs

Our wonderful local Cafe where you can grab your eggs bene & flat whites. Amazing food/coffee, the fish n chips aren’t bad either. Their burgers are very, very good! 🍔
The Gas station next door has a liquor store too, if you forgot to make a stop on your way to the lake.

178 State Hwy 30Our wonderful local Cafe where you can grab your eggs bene & flat whites. Amazing food/coffee, the fish n chips aren’t bad either. Their burgers are very, very good! 🍔
