A stunning beach that a low tide forms long stretches of golden sand backed by dunes from Daymer Bay to Rock with superb views across Camel Estuary. Follow the coastal footpath across Polzeath Beach passing Greenaway and you will reach Daymer Bay, you can then walk along the beach or at high tide over Brae Hill to Rock. Daymer Bay is perfect for swimmers and kayakers as the waves are less intense because the bay is in the Camel Estuary.

Tintagel is a village situated on the Atlantic Coast of Cornwall. The name of Tintagel immediately conjures images of King Arthur and his associated legends. The ruins of Tintagel Castle perch over the coast. The ruined Normal castle is much more recent than the times of the legend although there are signs of a much earlier settlement. The site of the ruins is owned by English Heritage who have recently built a large bridge connecting the headlands. The town of Tintagel has many excellent cafés, pubs and shops and a few pasty shops too! 15 miles away is Dozmary Pool on Bodmin Moor and legend says this was the last resting place of Arthur’s magical sword, Excalibur.
