Here are some great beaches and activities that I've personally experienced and recommend!
Playa Azul is the closest beach about a 5 minute drive from the villa and is named for its mile-long stretch of dark, almost cobalt blue sand and azure sea. Visitors can wander the pristine and solitary beach, listening to the Howler Monkeys and watching the waves crash against the shore, and they can watch spectacular sunsets light fire through the sky. Here you will find the luxurious Playa Azul Beach Club offering food, drinks, a wonderful swimming pool and leisure activities.
Playa Azul

Playa San Juanillo is actually a series of small, mostly protected coves a short 15 minute drive south of the villa. The primary cove is a white sand beach protected by a rim of rocks and reef. Here the water is calmer than most other beaches on the entire peninsula. This makes for very pleasant swimming and much better snorkeling than many places on the Pacific Coast. We offer several boat tours taking you to the hidden gems. Enjoy a nice lunch at the Coco Bolo restaurant on the beach!

160Playa San Juanillo is actually a series of small, mostly protected coves a short 15 minute drive south of the villa. The primary cove is a white sand beach protected by a rim of rocks and reef. Nosara is a village about 45 minutes south of the villa. It’s known as a yoga center, and for Pacific beaches like Playa Guiones, with its long surf break. There are many excellent restaurants to choose from for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Tamarindo is a beach town of fiesta and fun! Are you looking to dive, surf snorkel, sunbath? Playa Tamarindo has everything! The mile-long popular beach is stunning with palm trees and turquoise waters. You will find plenty of restaurants and bars to satisfy your every craving! You should plan a good half a day or more for this one because the drive is about an hour north of the villa.

The mile-long popular beach is stunning with palm trees and turquoise waters. You will find plenty of restaurants and bars to satisfy your every craving! Imagine riding a horse down pristine beaches as the sun warms your shoulders and the ocean waves‘ roar and crash to your right. Stop for a quick bite on the shore and head into the jungle for the rest of the afternoon, feeling at one with nature and your horse.
