Water areas, boardwalks, wetlands, beautiful walks through flora collections. many native birds and waterfowl onsite and see the Kiwi, Ruru, tuatara and other creatures of the night in the nocturnal houses. Very unique gift shop available specialising in locally written and illustrated childrens books. Cafe onsite.

Site of the historic American Marine camps and very interesting education Centre. Miles and miles of shared pathways connected throughout the entire district suitable for bikes, walking, jogging and horses.

Fantastic historical site, one of New Zealands oldest churches. only open by appointment, but it is worth seeing the fully Maori handcrafted interior. The original church was burnt down around 18years ago, but faithfully fully restored onsite.

Fascinating working Catholic Mission founded by French Bishop Pompallier in 1844 and school, still fully functioning and an incredible window back to the foundations of european arrival in New Zealand. I am happy to give a guided tour.
