If you love seafood as much as I do then you MUST visit the Wharf! Maryland is Crab Capitol. If its a summer weekend during your stay, then visit the Wharf with your patient panties on because the scene can get a little hectic. That's only because EVERYONE who know's DC, know's The Wharf has some of the best deals on seafood around! Be sure to get your fresh crabs steamed right there on site for free.

Great local place to walk, shop, sight see, and play. Consider taking the water trolly over to old town VA for another great excursion. The outlet mall and MGM Grand casino is located within the same area!

Cool place to swing some clubs and have a bite to eat in a great atmosphere. Best of all its less than a ten minutes drive from the home!

Chesapeake Beach is not my 1st option for beaching, but it is the closest. If you just wanna experience the sun, sand and water...this beach is suitable.

Who doesn't love a fun roller coaster ride...right? lol. Well maybe not everyone but if you're into theme parks, six flags is right up the road!
Tip: Oftentimes the tennis building at Watkins Park (Largo MD) offers the best discounted coupons for Six Flags and they're located within a couple of miles of each other.

City/town information
DC is FULL of interesting stuff to get into. Being the most visited city in the country...you'll run out of time before things to do. If you're traveling downtown to sightsee I recommend you take the metro. The trip down town is an experience in and of itself. Enjoy!

Grab a bite to eat at one of the many quaint restaurants or shop 'til you drop with all the small business owners. Old Town is bustling with friendly people...so go ahead and strike up a conversation!

Sightseeing
Great place for couples! If you want to impress your loved one with a romantic picnic by the water, Hains Point is a great location for it. Walk, jog, run, bike, etc... Take your car, there's plenty of free parking. Wonderful scenic views! Park closes at dusk.

If you'd like a raw, REAL Black history "experience"....You must visit the Blacks in wax museum in Baltimore. Its well known for its "in your face" true depiction of the Black sojourn in America.

Driving in DC
Driving in DC is NOT the same as driving in Maryland or Virginia. DC drivers can sometimes get a little aggressive. Be prepared to speed it up a bit, especially driving through many of the local thoroughfares.
