The Ashford entrance is the only one open almost year-round. the leisurely two-lane highway goes through small towns, big forests and past Ohop and Rocky Reach Lakes. the Longmire Lodge inside the park is the best food stop, particularly for berry cobbler with ice cream. Nearby Narada falls is a must-see.
