Great local pub, about a 30 minute walk from the house in the nextdoor village. It has a huge outside are with plenty of tables and a boules pitch. The food is good pub food. It's a greta place to walk to for a Sunday lunch.

Sightseeing
Southwold is about a 35 minute drive away. It is a larger town with lots of shops and the Adnams Brewery. There is also a pier with some arcade games. Great place to go for a day trip if you want to explore more of the local area.

The Martello Tower is just a short walk from the house, perched on the sea wall between the beach and the river its a great spot to walk to. You can walk out the bottom of the garden and turn left and this will take you along a footpath, as you reach a fork turn right onto the bumpy track and that will lead you on a path out to the river wall which you can follow along to the martello tower.

The Martello Tower is just a short walk from the house, perched on the sea wall between the beach and the river its a great spot to walk to. The meare is a man-made lake in Thorpeness, the nearby village. There are rowing boats and kayaks that you can rent to explore all the islands on the lake. Each island has its own story, one with a small fort and another one with a Wendy House on. It's a great way to sped the day with children but also as a couple wanting to do something different.
Food scene
This is great local pub on the high street. They will let you buy fish and chips from next door and eat them in their beer garden as long as you buy a drink. They also have a pizza oven in the beer garden selling delicious pizzas.
