A quiet little pond that was, at one time, used to get ice blocks for ice boxes, before refrigerators! While on your rides you may see turtles, fish, blue heron, muskrats, ducks, and if you are really lucky a Bald Eagle!

Margaretville is a small town in the Catskills. It has several local shops and artisans. There is hiking all around the area. We have a local supermarket (Freshtown) that carries a great beer selection from local breweries, allergy friendly food section, and of course all the other stuff you might need. There is a CVS and a Dollar General. No public transportation or taxi so you will need a car. If you come up on a bus then you will need to rent a car. Night life is limited.

The ticks in this area can be ridiculous!
Please check yourself and your kids after being outside, and before you go to bed. My grandson had 13 ticks on him when he came back from a hike this summer!
