Alykes meaning salt flats in Greek, offers a great natural reserve for many birds and fish.
In the month of August, you may join the greatest local festival leading to the peak of the summer - the 15th of August - a Greek bank holiday and celebration. There is live music on every day and you may also find food stools with local delicacies and drinks for very low prices.
On the other side of the salt flats lies a miles long beach, with warm waters, shallow enough for kids and adults. It is a locals' favourite as it has something for everyone.
