Extremely reasonable pool passes for summer time cooling off and a snack bar when it is COVID safe. Great place to take the kids. One of the biggest playgrounds I have seen. Beautiful walking path around the lake...about 7 minutes from the house.

The local "Gateway to the Dragon". Try one of there home brews. My favorite is "The Prey" from the food truck.

Great roads up to Burkes garden. One side is pavement, the other is gravel. I highly recommend this road for the adventure riders! Google "God's Thumbprint" for an amazing view

The reason people come from all over the country to visit historic Tazewell...the infamous Back of the Dragon. Come enjoy over 400 curves through three mountain ranges and 3500ft of elevation changes. Makes other roads run away with their "tail" between their legs! I had been riding that other road for years before discovering Tazewell and BOTD and there is no reason to go to that speed trap anymore! BOTD features amazing curves, beautiful views and reasonable speed limits! Come visit while it is still pristine!

I've heard this is changing to a BBQ place but the signage hasn't been updated yet. Great local food place. Highly recommend for a good meal.

Rent either 2 or 4 person Side by Sides (Brand new as of 2021) and explore either the legacy spearhead or the infamous "Hatfield McCoy" trails! Great way to spend a day exploring one of the most popular activities of SW VA!
