Spanish towns host a weekly market with multiple stalls selling fruit and veg, clothes, bags, shoes, bric-a-brac and household goods. Generally speaking, the same vendors go to the same markets, so once you've been to one, you might have seen them all! They operate from 10am to 2pm. Some places, such as Arroyo de la Miel, are over 30 minutes away by car so check before leaving. The local bus company is called Avanza Bus. There is a bus stop by the Cortijo Blanco hotel (see map in guidebook on arrival) and you can easily get to Marbella, Puerto Banus, Estepona. To travel by bus to Fuengirola or many other towns, you will first need to get the bus to the Marbela bus station. There is a printed timetable at the villa and you can also view it online.

The local taxis are all white, and you can ask for the price before the journey begins as each driver has a book with the price per destination. Taxis are not cheap but they are clean and quick. The telephone number is (0034) 952774488. Uber is also available.
