Tanglewood is a nicer place to go out that's about three minutes away from my place. Go here if you're looking for that special dinner place but don't want to go downtown. Their wines are all on tap and they have a rotating, locally sourced menu.

Nordic is a pizza place and brewery about three minutes from my house. It's in the Marketplace building. It's fun, easy, and they change up their beer list all the time.

Plonk is a wine bar that also happens to have excellent food. Their menu is split into half meat based dishes and half vegan dishes, which is really fun. They rotate their menu seasonally and have wine specials every night.

Adventuring
The reservoir at the end of Hyalite Canyon is gorgeous. Pack a lunch and get up there to spend a day by the lake in the summer or go ice fishing or have a snowball fight in the winter. A bunch of hiking trails start from around there, many of which turn into ski touring spots in the winter.

Bridger is the local ski area and it's absolutely a local favorite. The tickets are a bit cheaper than they are at Big Sky and there is still plenty of terrain for all levels. This mountain does get pretty crowded on the weekends with the college crowd.
