If you want to have some great local food and relax in rustic atmosphere, Kike's Place is the place to go. It's around 50 m right from Casa Colono towards Playa Grande. They have also a pool table to chill out with some cold beers.

They have a very diverse menu combining local dishes with more contemporary meals. My favorite dish is the grilled Mahi-Mahi :-) You will also find some tapa-style diches and cocktails during the happy hour just right to enjoy the sunset at the beach.

Located in the former turtle museum, the Beach Club Playa Grande is a nice, cozy patio shared by different food places. Currently, you can find a coffee shop, a bar, a burger spot, and a Japanese & Asian fusion food truck. During the day you can work there and enjoy a coffee and in the evening you can have a nice drink with sushi or a burger. Our favorite is Cococama (shrimps breaded with coconut with mango chutney). Also, they offer live music on some evenings and a small market with handicrafts. Love the atmosphere. Great to go with children and pets.

Find your groceries
A pulpería is a small grocery store where you will find basic products for a budget. In Playa Grande, a small pulpería is located next to Kike's place and the bus stop. You will find everything from eggs, drinks, milk etc.

Las Catalinas is a Mediterranean-style small village/resort where you have access to different restaurants and shops. It has direct access to Playa Danta and from there you can get to Playa Dantita. We recommend it, because it is just a nice place to hang around :-)

The beach next to Playa Grande passing the huge rock. If you walk till the end of the beach, you can find some shade to chill during the day. If you go by car, you can reach the spot and parking space by driving from the house following the road (not to Playa Grande) but turning right after Kike's Place. At the end of the road, you will find a small piece of dirt road. There you can park your car. Do not leave anything valuable in the car.

At the end of Playa Ventanas, you can cross a small forest following a trail. You will get to Playa Carbón. After that, you can cross the rocks (with low tide) getting to a small beach. From there, you can follow another trail through the rock to get to Playa Centeno. Great spot for pics. Playa Centeno is super calm and you have a lot of shade.

At the end of Playa Ventanas, you can cross a small forest following a trail. You will get to Playa Carbón. After that, you can cross the rocks (with low tide) getting to a small beach. From there, you can follow another trail through the rock to get to Playa Centeno. Great spot for pics. Playa Centeno is super calm and you have a lot of shade.
