A traditional favorite for visitors to the coast. Casual dining with great views across the bay. . . . and of course, a pat of butter on top of the clam chowder.

Kenny's IGA market - small but well-stocked. Good produce, seafood and deli selections for a small store. Local suppliers means fresh. A tad more money, but great for a quick run to avoid Safeway.

Parks & Nature

Cutler City Wetlands Open Space has a number of trails. The main entry is on SW 63rd, but there is very little parking (a small turnout on the side of the road). Easily walked to from the cottage, just take the little path behind Robys furniture just off 62nd south of the cottage. If you come on a damp day, wear boots or shoes you don't mind getting muddy. In late April, the wild Rhododendrons are a must see! It is also good walking cutoff to the south side of Siletz Bay wetlands. A map is located at the entry of the forest.

A short walk from the cottage west down the street, will take you to this beach access with public restrooms, and a picnic table set above the beach looking out at the bay. Enjoy this spot best at low tide when you can walk out on the flats and make new discoveries. Good for bird watching! 2 parking spots if you'd rather drive.

Beautiful park for picnics, with path under Highway 101 to the beach in a lovely cove. Our youngest daughter was married on this lovely setting. The perfect spot for a group gathering, with hiking trails, lawns for playing games, and restrooms. The waves can be dangerous on this beach, so beware at high tide to not be caught unawares.
