Right on the doorstep (a 2-minute walk along the main road towards Bampton) with an award-winning Country Café. Breakfast and lunch available and a good selection of cakes, tea and coffee. A lovely gift shop, too! Breakfast is available from 10am-11am Wednesday to Saturday and from 10:30am-11:30am on Sundays.

A mile up the road is the beautiful historic village of Bampton. This is where parts of Downtown Abbey were filmed! There is a Co-Op in the centre of the village open 7am-10pm every day, as well as a post office and a couple of cafes.

Sightseeing
There is so much to do and see in Oxford. The best way to get there is to drive to one of the Park and Rides. You will need to pay for the parking as well as the bus, but this is significantly cheaper than hourly parking in the centre.

Great for a (blowy!) walk along the hills to see the chalk-cutting horse. Park in the National Trust car park - there is a charge for this.

A fun, short walk up to the folly and immediate surroundings. Can you find all 24 blackbirds and the pie?! Great views of the surrounding area from this vantage point. There are pubs and cafes in Faringdon, which is a small market town just off the A420.
