Turquoise waters gently sloping mountains, hiking trail, snorkeling. It's a fun day out. I went with Costa Cat tours. Turtle island is about 45 min out. They take about 50 tourist to Turtle island where you hike, snorkel, and have lunch. Then they bring you back to Jaco. Costa Cat tours also provides snacks & drinks.

Turquoise waters gently sloping mountains, hiking trail, snorkeling. It's a fun day out. I went with Costa Cat tours. Turtle island is about 45 min out. A 20 min hike up the ruins of an abandoned restaurant. It's now covered in graffiti, and has some of the best views in Jacó. Entry point to the hike is across from the gas station. 20 min bike ride from Casa Cantone

royal butterfly garden is a small but wonderful space dedicated to eco conservation. Dan, the owner and your guide is a book! He was informative and really engaging. This place is about 25 away and takes about 30 min to an hour to walk through. Great thing to do in the morning right after breakfast.

A very popular park, so don’t be surprised if the lines are long, but there are tons of capuchin monkeys around. It’s fun to watch them steal fruit and pizza from tourist

Great place right on the beach! The seafood soup with coconut milk was great! Try their Bloody Mary’s. Made with more lime than usual. It was a nice twist.

Calamari was tender. The tuna steak was also good. The fried beef was a little tough, but the flavor was good. Great view!

The ceviche, chicken fingers, and margaritas were really good. The Philly cheesesteak was good, but the bread was a little chewy, but Costa Rica is prob. Not the place to come for a Philly cheesesteak

Cocktails are good. Ask them to strain the seeds from the passion fruit mojito. Food is good but a little cold when it arrives. Really nice view of the water and estuary tho.

Great selection of Costa Rican craft brews. Really good hamburgers. I recommend the blue cheese and bacon burger. Plenty of places that have plugs to sit and work. Be prepared for a college bar from the 90’s. It’s a vibe.
