Vegan Guide To Eating Out In Manchester
Manchester Vegan Eats
It may not be on the list of top Vegan travel destinations but in Manchester, you'll be spoilt for choice with such a wide range of vegan options within easy walking distance. Most restaurants and cafes will serve at least one vegan option on their menu these days and many of the best vegan eats are to be found in non-vegan restaurants, but that's okay, it's progress! That said, here are my top recommendations to try whilst visiting Manchester.
P.S. Another one to try which I can't add to the list is Wholesome Junkies in the Arndale Market.

Fish and chips, a British classic and now vegan! Both main vegan dishes are great, although we prefer the Soyz in the Hood.

Teacup Kitchen
53-55 Thomas StIf you've got a craving for pancakes (which I often do) then Alabama's is the place to go. They also do a pretty good 'full English' and a couple of other breakfast and lunch dishes. Be warned it gets really busy so I'd recommend booking a table or getting there as early as possible. Also bear in mind they stop serving at 3pm.

This health-conscious cafe offers a range of daily meals and a salad bar from which you can select 4 or 6 foods for around £7+. They also do some cakes and other deserts and great smoothies. Not the cheapest option imo.

Indian takeaway joint that turned vegan a few years ago and offers a selection of curry and rice meals but also burgers, chips, falafel and tofu wraps which I recommend. The owners are really friendly and the value is good.

One of my personal favourites. A few vegan fillings to choose from. They will offer medium or large sizes. I find they are pretty filling so only go for large if you've really got an appetite.

You can't go wrong with a good falafel wrap and Go Falafel are everywhere! Everything they do is vegan and they do some nice smoothies as well.

18 Cross StreetOne of the best chain restaurant selections when it comes to vegan offerings and three restaurants in Manchester. Nice selection of Pan-Asian dishes, always tasty and always great portions. I recommend the Tamarind Tofu. As with most though, very lacking on desserts.
