Brunch is a particularly Sydney thing, and on Sunday’s it may seem like the whole city has come to the neighborhood to try the best on offer. Potts Point has so many fantastic café’s & restaurants which would be exhaustive to list, but here are some that we highly recommend and frequent our selves
Access via Fitzroy Gardens opposite the apartment
If you like big meals with a healthy dose of German rustic, then this place is for you. Great for a casual no-frills lunch or dinner (they do take away also) it’s comfort food done well. We can’t go past the Chicken Gypsy Schnitzel.

Maggie's Potts Point

We highly recommend the Saganaki cheese, the Wild Weed and Cheese Pie, oh and the Loukoumades honey doughnuts for dessert… It is very popular and does not take reservations, so get here early (before 7pm) to get a table, or alternatively put your name down with the waiter, and head for a drink at Monopole or The Roosevelt just up the road and they’ll call you when a table is ready (usually a 45 min wait).

The organic farmer’s market is buzzing on Saturdays from 8am until around mid afternoon with fresh produce. The Sunday market features bric-a-brac, as well as food stalls. The bacon & egg rolls are legendary.

Take a stroll down to Elizabeth Bay (taking the stairs off 20 Macleay St to Billyard Ave), admiring the Art Deco architecture to this cute tucked away park that’s perfect for a Sunday picnic or a relaxing stroll with views of the harbour. There’s also a café located on the marina.

One of Sydney’s best-kept secrets is this outdoor pool with the loveliest of locations, on the shores of Woolloomooloo Bay, near the Royal Botanic Gardens, with panoramic views over Sydney Harbour.
