Everything Else

Standing at almost 400 metres high, this uninhabited rock island made of limestone is situated 2km off the west coast of Ibiza and is right opposite to Cala d'Hort. This mysterious and beautiful rock stood in for the volcanic island Bali Hai in the 1958 Hollywood film, South Pacific. Myths have followed Es Vedra from ancient history, not least that it was the home of the sirens and sea-nymphs who tried to lure Ulysses from his ship in Homer's Odyssey. We'll leave you to decide, but just in case: when you visit it, make a wish and see if your desires come true. One thing is for sure, once you have seen it close up, Es Vedra will leave a long-lasting impression on your imagination.

Shopping

The most famous market in Ibiza! Running since 1985, Las Dalias Hippy Market is probably the best and most famous of all Ibizan markets. On every Saturday during the day as well as Monday & Tuesday evenings from June to September and Sunday evenings in August. There is a large display of stalls selling clothing, jewellery, shoes and artisan products, all within the beautiful surroundings of an exotic garden. In summer this market attracts 20,000 people a day. With live music, mint tea, performances, art and a delightful array of hippy classics this is a wonderful experience.
