Arts & Culture

I love this museum. The staff are so friendly and down-to-earth. The atmosphere is modern yet still respectful to history. Full of local colour, and unlike some museums I have been to in other countries, you are free to take photos in most places (but possibly not everywhere, always check for signs). It's a welcoming place to visit, despite its imposing structure it doesn't feel dark or cold. The shop is lovely. The cafes feel relaxing. The place is often busy and crowded but it's not uncomfortable. This is due to the way the exhibits are arranged, I think it's very well set out. They often have special events going on to keep things interesting.
