Drinks & Nightlife

There is always at least one real ale available (usually two) and there is a snug area on the left hand side when you walk through the door. Early evenings (after 5pm) are usually the best times. It can get busy (and a bit noisier) after 8pm. Lunchtime sandwich and soup for a fiver.

Food Scene

This is a great recent addition to Montrose. The food is delicious and beautifully presented - not Tex Mex - more traditional Mexican cuisine. Lovely people running it and delightful staff make this a must go to restaurant during your stay.

Arts & Culture

William Lamb (1 June 1893 – 12 January 1951) was a Scottish sculptor and artist. He was a survivor of the “lost generation” who came of age in 1914, and was scarred, both mentally and physically, by the First World War. This gallery is a gem. Seasonal - but if you ask nicely, it's possibly to make an appointment to see it off season.
