Amazing Italian food. Freshly prepared in the kitchen at the back of the small restaurant. Generous portions with great flavour. Would recommend booking in advance if visiting on a weekend evening.

Stunning location on the harbour arm looking out to sea and back to Ramsgate harbour. We love the calamari with aioli and the king prawns in garlic plus the pianist playing on Sunday lunch times!

Oh my! Went for the first time tonight. It's exceptional food. It's basically a small cafe. Take your own wine. Doesn't look great inside but really, I haven't tasted such good food in a long time.

Great Sri Lankan and South Indian menu. Masala Dosas are my favourite! You can eat in or take away but you need to order a couple of hours in advance at weekends - their food is very popular!

Its great for a Sunday morning walk from No 9, along the beach or cliff top all the way from Palm Bay bandstand. Takes about 30-40 minutes. They have a lovely sea view and the whitebait is delicious

Thomas Crampton built the first water storage system for Broadstairs here. He was also a steam engineer and did the first underwater cable between France and England. A fascinating and quaint museum.

Modern and large bingo hall that often has theme nights. Easy to get to by bus or car, there is a large car park. Can join on the day. Reasonably priced food and drinks, although if you plan on eating arrive early as they can get very busy. Saturday nights are 'Chatty Bingo' so there is a fun party atmosphere. Also very close to a selection of restaurants including Ask, Chiquitos, Frankie & Benny's and Nandos, and of course if you're on a winning streak there is a casino right next door.

A great circular leisure cycle and walking route of 32 miles (51.4km), taking in the coast of Margate, Broadstairs and Ramsgate before heading inland through the surrounding villages. Its glorious!

The place of our iconic chalk stack on the beach which has been promoted by Visit Kent in London. Looks like Greece! Right next to the Botany Bay Hotel, a lovely walk from our house.

Getting Around
Frequent buses to travel between the Thanet towns - The Loop goes from Westwood - Margate - Broadstairs - Ramsgate (or the opposite direction), they are every 7-8 mins during the day (10 mins on Sundays). They run until late at night. Day rider tickets available that let you hop on and off all day in Thanet. Also buses to Canterbury or Herne Bay from Thanet at regular intervals taking around 1 hour.
