The Palmer Arms is a very short drive or approximate 10 minute walk through the village from Appletree Cottage. The Palmer Arms is a dual purpose pub, with a child friendly atmosphere with a big garden, kids play area and a range of simple but excellent food. Simultaneously the restaurant area offers high quality restaurant food for romantic candlelit dinners.

A wonderful takeaway and restaurant offering delicious food with a Chinese/Oriental theme. Great value for money and the best restaurant of this type that we have found in our years of living here!

Parks & Nature
A world class park in the extensive grounds of Windsor Castle. There are a huge variety of options within Windsor Great Park including walks through free roaming deer along the 'Long Walk', to a lakeside loop of Virginia Water. There is plenty to do and see and I very strongly recommend a visit for nature/walking enthusiasts.

A relatively quiet park and woodland area between Burnham and Farnham Common. Burnham Beeches offers excellent walks through ancient Oak woodland, open grass spaces perfect for picnics and marshland and pond areas for chances to catch a glimpse of some of Britain's many unique wildlife species.

Sightseeing
Not a lot needs to be said of the world famous Windsor Castle, one of the homes of the British Royal Family. The castle itself can be visited for a fee and comes highly recommended for any history enthusiasts, but the castle is located in the centre of the town so much of it can be viewed for free for a short walk around Windsor.
