The Eternal Flame Falls is a small waterfall located in the Shale Creek Preserve, a section of Chestnut Ridge Park in Western New York. A small grotto at the waterfall's base emits natural gas, which can be lit to produce a small flame. This flame is visible nearly year round, although it can be extinguished and must occasionally be re-lit.
Check out this 1.4-mile out-and-back trail near Orchard Park, New York. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 33 min to complete.

A 300 ft winding stone stairway down into the gorge, which connects with the several mile long gorge trail. A loop from Devil’s Hole Parking area, down into the gorge, back up at Whirlpool State Park and back to Devil’s Hole is roughly 2.5 miles.

Local park with some picturesque trails, a view of the city, playgrounds, etc. Open all year round! In the winter there is sledding with a cute lodge to warm up.

Hikers can choose among 66 miles of hiking trails. Trails are also available for horseback riding, biking, snowmobiling, and cross-country skiing.
About an hour away, it has grills and playgrounds in the summer. It is a state park so during open season you do have to pay $10 per car.
