Air quality in the valley can be significantly effected by your vehicle kicking up dust. You’re not in a rush, go slow.

It’s the desert! Pack enough water for your entire group. While services are within moderate walking distance of property, proper hydration is key to desert living.

Respect the cabins!
Many of the original homesteader cabins still dot the landscape, including one close by to our property. Please respect these historic structures and remember many are quite fragile. Vandalizing or sleeping in the cabins is deeply uncool. You should also know many of the residents don’t like the “poverty porn” instagramming of these spaces, especially cabins with residents living in them.

We’re big fans of Andrea Zittel’s experiments in desert living and highly recommend touring A-Z West while you visit. Also an excellent place for local ceramics and woven goods.
