Great local Italian cuisine just up the road. All the staff are super friendly and the food is fantastic. My favorite dish is the Lasagna Bolognese but honestly everything is good here.

Spa Day
If you are looking for a relaxing spa day this is the place to go. They have spa packages, golf and two restaurants to choose from. If you book any sort of spa treatment you get use of the pool area for the entire day. You can order food and drinks from your lounge chair.

My favorite hiking trails
This is one of my favorite areas to hike and its right up the street. Take plenty of water and sunscreen. It is a great hike and you end up overlooking Lake Ramona at the dam. As with any hike, be aware of your surroundings as there are bobcats, mountain lion and snakes in the area.

Blue Sky Ecological Reserve
16275 Espola RdThis is one of my favorite areas to hike and its right up the street. Take plenty of water and sunscreen. It is a great hike and you end up overlooking Lake Ramona at the dam. As with any hike, be aware of your surroundings as there are bobcats, mountain lion and snakes in the area.
This is a great hiking spot and you have options to add on to the hike that take you to two other great trails. You can go up to Blue Sky from here or all the way to Potato Chip Rock which is one of the most famous hiking trails in the area. Take plenty of water and sunscreen. As always, be aware of your surroundings as there are wildlife in the area such as bobcats, mountain lions and snakes. They also have picnic areas, rental boats and fishing.

This is a great hiking spot and you have options to add on to the hike that take you to two other great trails. You can go up to Blue Sky from here or all the way to Potato Chip Rock which is one of the most famous hiking trails in the area. Take plenty of water and sunscreen. One of the tougher hikes in the area. This hike is really fun because when you get to the top you climb out to the rock and you can get some amazing photos. There are two starting points to this trail, one is from Lake Poway which is the longer route but less steep. The other is from the Ramona side which is about 15 minutes away off the 67. This side is paved most of the way but very steep.
This trail is one of the tougher hikes in the area but close by, only about 10 minutes up the road where Poway Rd meets the 67. It is steep with a lot of switch backs but an incredible view from the top!

If you are wanting to take in some San Diego's history and charm I would definitely recommend Balboa Park. This place is huge and there is a lot to see and do here. There are museums, restaurants, shops, street food, cart vendors and much more. You can spend an entire day here and not see everything. Always check ahead because they do a lot of special events throughout the year.
