This is the place to be on Saturday mornings (seasonal)!! Tons of local produce, food, people watching, food trucks, etc. We are there every Saturday. You've gotta get a donut ....just look for the line. One donut per person is the general rule!! :) These things are huge.

Another locally owned restaurant on our favorites list. They have everything from great steaks to burgers. Local craft beers, cocktails, etc. Occasional live music, etc. Great outdoor patio area as well.

OK, if you are a sandwich lover, this is the place for you!! This is another locally owned restaurant and part of my weekly routine. When you make your own bacon, breads and brisket...well, it's gotta be great! Always try the weekly featured sandwich! This is a craft deli, go and enjoy! You'll go back!

If you like sushi, you will want to go visit my friends at Asia Garden. Sit at the sushi bar and get ready to hammer some sushi.... great portions and fun faces. This is on my weekly hit list.....of course it's locally owned. My go to roll is the Galaxy roll. They also offer plenty of cooked rolls as well.

City/town information
Pickwick Lake is about an hour and twenty minutes from Jackson TN. This is a very large and beautiful lake with tons of recreational activities.... state park area, golf, fishing, pontoon boat rental, restaurants (The Outpost is my spot), etc.

Discovery Park is about 1hr drive from Jackson, TN. Well worth the drive and very family friendly drive. Look up Discovery park online to see traveling exhibits, etc.
Also, you will be close to Reelfoot lake. Reelfoot lake is a unique area that was created by the one of the largest earthquakes every recorded... the Mississippi flowed backwards for a couple days to fill the void. Tons of bald eagles, lake kayaking, eateries, etc.
