City/town information
Corrales is a wonderful artsy farming/horse village just a few miles from the house. There are several really great restaurants, breweries, and interesting places to visit in Corrales. Just to list a few of my favorites
Ex Novo Brewing Co: Quality craft beers, great atmosphere
C3's bistro: Cajun/French cuisine- on the pricier side but quality food. Bread pudding is to die for
Corrales Bistro- Live music, outside seating, huge menu with reasonable prices, service is a little spotty so be warned but it is a great local place. Cheeseburgers, salads, and pastas are my
favorites
Indigo Crow: Outdoor seating, great ambience, food & service
Hannah & Nates: Delicious little brunch spot but go early if you want a table. Carne Adovada eggs benedict is a go to
Flying Star Cafe: Local food, fresh ingredients, always busy for a reason. Order at the counter type place with tons of seating
Ambiente: Great little shop for fun household items/gifts/jewelry
Casa Vieja: One of the coolest event spaces you will find, historical adobe home with beautiful outdoor and indoor spaces

Funky old mining town where Wild Hogs was filmed, close to Santa Fe and Albuquerque- Cool stores with local artists and a great biker (family friendly) establishment known as the Mineshaft Tavern with live music and an awesome patio. I LOVE MADRID- but they call it "MAAADRID" ???

Consejos para la ciudad
Costumbres y cultura
Always have sunscreen, New Mexico sun is no joke!
Buying Native Artwork and Jewelry- Most of the items found in Santa Fe can be purchased in Old Town Albuquerque for less but PLEASE ALWAYS ENSURE YOU ARE BUYING FROM VENDORS WHO ARE LEGITIMATE- ask for the artists name and tribal affiliation if purchasing from a store.
Meow Wolf in Santa Fe- Great experience for all ages but it gets SUPER busy with bus loads of people so look for off hours, concert events have less people in the actual exhibit and are a great time to go. Get your tickets ahead of time
Facilidad para moverse por la casa
Not a very walkable area for travel- Rental care recommended
Rail Runner leaves from Bernalillo station (closest) and travels North to Santa Few and South past Albuquerque. Albuquerque station drops right in downtown and Santa Few drops a decent walking distance from the plaza. Check schedules for abbreviated hours
For Balloon Fiesta- There are several park and ride options, one leaves from Intel in Rio Rancho but please be aware that if you use the park and ride you will have to wait for the shuttle if you are ready to leave. Driving to fiesta really isn't too bad. There's tons of parking.
