Only a 15 minute drive away. Lots of water sports to try out like open water swimming, kayaking, pedalos with slides, paddleboarding, diving and an inflatable obstacle course. You can grab a bite to eat here too.
St. Andrew's Lakes

A great little zoo just 15 minutes away. Really done beautifully, enough to see, but not too big for any little feet! If you're hungry, you can grab some pub grub too.

A bit further on from Upnor and you’ll come across The Historic Dockyard. There is lots to discover and learn about the history of these docks and the role they played in various battles. You can also explore a submarine and get on one of the old ships. There is often a trail for children to follow too, especially in the holidays. Opposite the dockyard is the Dockside Outlet Centre with a number of shops, restaurants, gym and cinema.

If you are one for shopping, Bluewater is situated just off the A2 about 20 minutes away, where you can shop until you drop, have something to eat, go the cinema or have a jump at Gravity.

A nice little village with a stream to paddle in next to The Chequers pub.
There are a few places to eat here, a nice little green to sit by the stream and a ford to splash about in. A little walk up the road and you'll come across a castle ruin to explore too.

This stream has a lovely walk along it and you'll eventually come across a rope string across the water. Start at the Golden Lion and walk through its' garden area to find the stream to walk alongside.

Seaside
A really lovely seaside town and you can enjoy some famous Whistable oysters. This is a pebble beach. 45 minute drive from the property.

Another lovely seaside town and a sandy beach to explore. Broadstairs is an hours drive from the property, but there's lots to do, especially in Summer. Try Morelli's ice cream shop!
There are also lots of smaller seaside bays around this area and in this direction that you could explore too.
