Sightseeing
This is a local swimming spot favorite among children and all ages alike. Need a hot day because the water can be chilly before July. Best to bring towels and some blow up tubes to drift around in. Or for the adventurous, climb the rocks and jump right in. They also have grills and picnic tables, so it’s a nice place for hamburgers and hotdogs or just a picnic lunch after a swim.
Staple Rock Park

Great 4.4 mile loop trail only 15 mins away from the house. Great for families with children over 10 years old. A little bit of up hill hiking in the beginning plus some inclined rock faces near the top, but well worth the views. This hike has the best views in the Campton-Thornton area.
Older or middle aged persons should use a walking staff for the decline. Usually takes about 4 hours with a lunch break at the summit

Welch and Dickey Mount Trail
Welch and Dickey Mount TrailGreat 4.4 mile loop trail only 15 mins away from the house. Great for families with children over 10 years old. A little bit of up hill hiking in the beginning plus some inclined rock faces near the top, but well worth the views. This hike has the best views in the Campton-Thornton area.

Great place to sit on a porch to take in the views of the Sandwich Range including the Tripyramids while having hamburgers, lobster, beer and or just ice cream. It’s been a nice stop for just an ice cream cone with the kids
