City/town information
Halibut Cove is a little jewel tucked away in Kachemak Bay State Park. The park area is a total of 400,000 acres of mountains, glaciers, forests, coastline and ocean. Visitors frequently observe sea otters, harbor seals, porpoise, and a variety of whale species. Halibut Cove welcomes the many visitors it hosts each and every year, but at the same time makes every effort to ensure that Halibut Cove remains the beautiful, quiet paradise it has become famous for. Residents are a close-knit community and value their peace and their privacy. Halibut Cove is a living experience like no other and I am sure any of the residence will confirm that statement!!

Hiking & Biking
One of the top trails on the Homer side of Kachemak Bay, Diamond Creek is a 2-mile trail that takes you through forest, alders, and tall grass meadows before descending to the beach, where you’ll find small Alaskan sealife. The trail’s upper half is mostly switchbacks with a crushed-rock surface, but there are some areas of blue clay that can be slick if wet. The last half of the trail is fairly steep; a walking stick would come in handy. Once at the bottom, you’re about halfway between the mouth of the Anchor River and Bishop’s Beach
