Nature lovers - Welcome to one of the most scenic areas of Algarve and Portugal. Hiking trails right at your doorstep and around the Lagos area. Enjoy the hiking trail book you find at Casa Camilo and pick out your favourite trails.
Bring your sunhat and walking shoes. Ponta da Piedade is just at your doorstep. The lighthouse that guides boats are at the end of the bay and it is surrounded by miles of walking trails. Some are organised and accessible for wheelchairs/strollers. Others are dirt paths and with a bit demanding climbs. Beware of loose cliffs since the cliffs are based on sand and corals they can be loose and you must take the warnings signs that are placed out seriously. This is one of the most amazing walks on the algarvian coast and you simply must enjoy it as much as you can. Ans especially at sunrise and sunset. The trails are on both sides of the road leading to the Ponta da Piedade lighthouse. Best hours to avoid crowd are early in the morning. Our favourite!
