The Minnie Water Store/Cafe is a great lunchtime eatery!! Great coffee and food. Drive from Diggers Studio or walk on the Back Minnie Beach direct, through Minnie Water town, along the headland trails to the Cafe. Allow 1 hour or 90 mins walk each way for this one and look at the Tides.

Out for the day: most local walks are less than 2 hours but you may want to bring a picnic lunch and stay at beach and trail destinations for the day, bring a swimmer and light-weight beach towel recommended.

Ocean awareness and safe swimming

If you are not a strong swimmer the Diggers Headland Reef tidal lagoon is perfect for elderly and children. Watch the tides and have a swim in the high tide, only 1 m deep. The channel to the ocean may offer a workout to swim against the shallow current without risk in ocean waves.
