Crossroads Cafe is one of the best meals in town. Great for breakfast and lunch all day long. It offers a good meal in a chill, desert-hip diner atmosphere. They offer vegan options, as well. I love their egg dishes and the tuna melt. They have a mexican flair, so they offer chili and tacos among other things. Its delicious and I make an effort to go every time I'm in the desert.

Love this spot! Organic, vegan cafe. Casual, low key. Outside dining when weather is nice. It can be a bit busy for lunch on the weekends. Order at the counter and your food comes out fairly quick. Yummy vegan chili and amazing bountiful sandwiches and salads. They offer creative choices that never fail. Don't forget the splendid treat of a gluten free cookie right next to the register.

Well, If you know anything about the desert, its Pappy & Harriet's. Food, Drinks, Live Music (generally free), Dancing. Best to make reservations if you want to sit down and eat before, during or while any bands are on. I think its best to stick with the basic's as far as food. I have been here a few times. You can check them out online to see what band is playing and if you want to make reservations for a table. Its far from JT, so plan a designated driver and about 30 mins to get there. Try to go before sunset, the road up to pioneer town is amazing.

This stretch of town was built for a movie and now is a kitcky tourist attraction. The best part about this is the artist shops, pottery and great scenery. Pappy & Harriets is just at the entrance.

I would call this Vintage-New retail store: Hipster Cowboy Chic, with a touch of class. I think he sells fine wine, as well. lol :) Lots of great stuff to look at and buy. Definitely worth stopping in.

They are a Consignment Shop/Antique Mall of sorts...Furniture, clothes, Music stuff... if you can find them. The last I saw from FB, they are at 7350 Acoma in Yucca Valley. Good luck!
