The Piece Hall in Halifax is an 18th century example of a Cloth Hall, where cloth manufacturers would sell hand woven “pieces of cloth”. It’s numerous small shops have been turned into a shopping centre and the quadrangle used as an entertainment space. Definitely worth a visit

The Sunn Inn is about 1.5 miles from us. The food is good pub fare and reasonably priced. Fish Fridays are great value with fish, chips, mushy peas and tartare sauce at £14 for 2! Lance and Leslie are great hosts and will give you a warm welcome
