The PMA is great, and its located on the outskirts of the Old Port for a ton of other sights to see. A great starting point for your day, and only a safe 15 minute walk.

I love sitting on the Prom with a sandwich and a drink. It's never overcrowded, but there is a always a ton of great people watching, and the water is beautiful.

Sonny's is a renovated old bank, tons of character and crazy cool cocktails. Their service is slow though, so don't go here if you're in a rush. It's perfect for date night.

Top of the East is located on the 15th floor of a hotel in Portland, and it is mostly glass walls so you can see outside all over Portland. GREAT views. Pretty pricy, so be prepared to spend $12- $14 per cocktail. Fun place to dress up and go to.
