Note: they have a nice supply of wine, etc.

This is the closest shopping cityfrom Eco Lagarto. Multiple grocery stores, hardware, clothing shops, restaurants, very typical of most Costa Rican towns that grow up around a city center with a park and church.
If you're lucky enough to be in Costa Rica for a rodeo, lucky you! Tican style.

Tamarindo is a surf destination for beginners and experienced surfers ... surf and body board rentals, surf schools, multiple beach areas to surf depending on your skills level.
LOTS of great shopping (great restaurants right on the beach - often with live bands, groceries, gas stations, souvenir shops everywhere, beach, night life).

Playa Marbella is a beautiful long light brown beach. Great for long walks, surf jumping, hanging out in the shade or your hammock. The Tiki Hut has excellent food with a lovely beach view.
