You'll need to drive to larger grocery stores (there is an aldi nearby, a Kroger downtown in the brewery district, and a Giant Eagle market district in Grandview), but if you're looking for produce, basic cooking needs, and more, the Jubilee market offers a lot of what you might need at good prices. They also have an affordable deli and salad bar. It's within walking distance and is run and staffed by the local women's shelter.

Neighborhoods

You are staying in Franklinton, an up and coming area of Columbus, Ohio located about a mile and a half from downtown Columbus. About a mile East of the house is the district of East Franklinton, a neighborhood with new bars, breweries, food, art galleries, and a salon. During the Summer months, Land Grant Brewery has a fantastic out door area with live music, while Brewdog Taphouse across the street has a beautiful open-air rooftop patio. Land Grant has a BBQ truck, and Brewdog servies typical bar fare. Nearby Strongwater Food & Spirts provides a bit more of a casual lounge/restaurant atmosphere if you're looking for a more sit down type meal. If you find yourself out late, Rehab Tavern is a great local dive to meet locals to the wee hours of the morning. 400 W Rich is a collection of art studios and spaces that occasionally does events and open houses, so be sure to look that up if you're in the area. Across the street is the Roy G Biv gallery that showcases more local art. If I don't feel like walking to the area, I'll occasionally scoot down there (Bird, Lime, Lyft scooters are available around the house), or take the bus. The 9 bus picks up at the corner of Cypress and Town by the library. It costs $2 and runs every 30-60 minutes depending on the time of day. Uber and Lyft are also available too.
