One of our local hangouts with great food, drinks, and occasional live bands .I wouldn’t recommend it for families, it’s a little pricey, and the food is a little upscale. We love it to just go hang out, have some drinks,order some soup,pizza ,dessert or a full entrée.The outdoor dining is really nice.

Downtown Saluda grocery market. Fruit, veggies, protein, drinks, and premade meals! You actually order your steak and they cut it on the original butcher block, you can also order bacon by the slice! Some of the best meats ever. It’s a must see when you visit Saluda. It is actually one of the oldest grocery stores still open for business. It’s quite charming.

Believe it or not it has the best burgers ever! They have a very nice outdoor area to eat that is kid friendly and shaded. Food prices are very reasonable. Full bar, the best mixed berry cobbler you will ever have, add the vanilla ice cream.

This is our most favorite restaurant! We are from New Jersey, and this is as close as we get to Italian. Pasta dishes are large and very reasonably priced. It is about 25 minutes from our cabin, but well worth it! We actually eat there every time we come up to our place.

We hang out on the very large deck on Friday and Saturday nights. There is usually somebody playing music, there is a food truck, kid friendly reasonably priced. You can actually bring your own food and listen to the music.

This is brand new, great food great atmosphere. It is actually located in one of the older prisons. You can actually tour the solitary confinement building. The original key is framed and hanging behind the bar. They have entertainment, indoor or outdoor seating, Family friendly and reasonably priced. It’s about 20 good minutes from our cabin down in the town of Columbus. Lots of parking GPS will take you right to it.

The Gorge Zipline is located about 15 minutes from our cabin. You can access from the top of Green River Cove Rd. Take a Left and it's on your Left! One of the highest ziplines in the south/east with 11 ziplines, 3 repels, and a sky bridge! Great for families! Reservations are required. But you can drive up there and watch people take off. The building itself is quite impressive. It’s something you should see.

One of the highest ziplines in the south/east with 11 ziplines, 3 repels, and a sky bridge! Great for families! Reservations are required. But you can drive up there and watch people take off. The building itself is quite impressive. It’s something you should see.

You rent a tube, and they actually drive you in a school bus, to the starting area of the river and you tube back to their business.It usually takes about two hours to complete, depending on how many times you stop and play along the way.It Is a Great family activity.Life jackets are available if needed, very popular, usually do not need reservations except on major holidays. Beautiful breathtaking scenery as you tube down the Green River.
Absolutely no alcohol is allowed on the river. It is heavily monitored by the local game wardens, and the fines are quite steep.

This was a single-family home at one time built by George Vanderbilt who also had homes in New York and I’m sure other places. The sheer volume in this home is Liveincredible you can tour where their servants lived, you can tour the bedrooms you can tour the fancy tapestries, The library’s the gentleman’s room where they sat around and drank and smoked cigars etc. it’s really really really beautiful. Then let’s talk about the grounds that this house is built on, beyond beautiful.

If you can’t get a reservation, you can actually go there at and watch other people take off, which is a lot of fun too. The building is quite impressive ,it resembles a huge barn on the side of the mountain.
