Food Scene
La Cabane is the nearest good restaurant to the mazot, about 20 minutes walk. It combines a traditional wooden lodge with modern interior design at the foot of the Flégère ski area. The restaurant offers excellent contemporary French cuisine in relaxed and warm surroundings. Long lunch is served from 12:00 to 15:30, bar and tea lounge in the afternoon with dinner service starting at 19:00.

In summer, the refuge of La Boerne is a base camp for hikers and mountaineers. It is on the path many hikes, including the Tour du Mont Blanc. It’s also a restaurant with a sunny terrace serving simple Savoyard cuisine. You must book and choose your menu in advance. It is near the road for parking or it is an easy walk from Montroc station, follow the path Via des Cutes passing the Bel Alp residence.
Auberge la Boerne
Route des MontetsIn summer, the refuge of La Boerne is a base camp for hikers and mountaineers. It is on the path many hikes, including the Tour du Mont Blanc. It’s also a restaurant with a sunny terrace serving simple Savoyard cuisine. You must book and choose your menu in advance. It is near the road for parking or it is an easy walk from Montroc station, follow the path Via des Cutes passing the Bel Alp residence.
Getting Around
The little railway station in Les Tines is 250m from the mazot. The SNCF 'Mont Blanc Express' train, serves all the villages from Saint Gervais-le Fayet to Martigny (Switzerland). Trains run hourly during the day and are free from Servoz to Vallorcine with the Carte d'hote guest card, which your rep can give you.
The Chamonix bus is free with ski passes and up to 50% discount with the Carte d'Hôte & runs throughout the day all over the valley. Line 2 stops in Les Tines. The bus stop is just through the station. There is a night bus back from Chamonix, the latest leaves around 1am. (Small charge ~ 4 euros and reservations are required)

From Les Praz village, the cable car rises over the Chamonix golf course and takes you to the La Flégère site at 1,877m. If you want to go higher, a chair lift takes you to the Index, at 2,595m. There are hiking paths to Lac Blanc, and Les Chéserys lakes in the Aiguilles Rouges, a natural conservation area.
In Winter this is the nearest lift to the mazot for skiing at Brevent-Flégère.
