This amazing beachfront house on Sandbanks Peninsula is very cool, quirky and spacious. It is suitable for families/friend groups wanting to have fun on the beach/water or explore Dorset. It is one of a handful of properties that has direct access onto the beach at the back, and to Poole Harbour at the front. It has gorgeous views of Brownsea Island, Studland, Old Harry's Rocks and IofW from the house and garden. All rooms (bar bunk rooms) can be made into super kings instead of two singles.
The house is situated on the Sandbanks Peninsula with direct access at the back of the garden onto the beach and to Poole Harbour at the front of the house. The sunsets over the Harbour are completely sublime and have to be seen to be believed. The fantastic firework displays on Poole Quay can be watched from the comfort of the dining room! There are amazing views from every room in the house - and almost has the feeling of being in a boat. It is the ONLY house that is let for holidays on this stretch so it is unique. It is deceptively large (approx 4000 square feet internally) so there is plenty of room for everyone - especially as the lounge and games room allow for two completely separate areas to relax and have fun in. The property also benefits from a huge garden that is approx 50 metres long with amazing views to Old Harry's rocks and the Isle of Wight. There is also parking for 5 cars at the front of the house. This saves on parking charges! Everyone who has visited Sandbanks knows this house - it was the first modern house built on the peninsula when it was still a literal sandbank. It won the house of the year award in 1974 for its innovative architecture - being cantilevered and made of concrete and glass. It is definitely one of a kind! It is a lovely quirky house to have fun in. It has a great fun interior - we call it the "Happy House"! The house is located next door to The Watersports Academy which is fantastic for watersports activities, paddle board, bicycle and boat hire. We host a wide range of guests at the property. These include family/friendship group holidays and celebrations, Bournemouth graduation events and pre-marriage celebrations. We have also hosted business groups for team building activities and meetings. It is a fantastic choice for those visiting Dorset from the UK or abroad (15 minutes from Bournemouth International airport) who wish to explore the beautiful Dorset coast and countryside. The property is the perfect place to start your exploration of beautiful Poole Harbour, Bournemouth beach and Jurassic coast. Bournemouth beach is the only UK beach to be awarded one of the "World's Best" by travellers on Trip Advisor. The beach house is also only 30/40 minutes to Jurassic highlights such as Lulworth cove, Chapman's Pool and Kimmeridge. The house is only 20 minutes from the charming New Forest with its gorgeous country pubs and New Forest ponies. The house offers a holiday that can combine so many different elements that make an amazing and memorable trip with so much to do both at the house and in the surrounding area. The house itself is such a relaxing place to be with beautiful views that many guests do not leave the house and immediate surrounding area for the duration of their stay - so no need to use the car at all! Top Floor - The top floor has five bedrooms. There is one further bedroom and also games room that are used for sleeping accommodation on the ground floor (please see below). Bedroom 1 - is a beautiful large bedroom with the most amazing views of Poole Harbour and Brownsea Island. It is really light and spacious room. The bedroom can be set up either as two singles or a superking bed. There are two armchair sofa beds which can be made up as two singles. This room can sleep 4. Bedroom 2 - this room also has wonderful views over the Harbour. It can be made up as two singles or a superking. There is an armchair sofa bed which can be used as a single. This room can sleep 3. Bedroom 3 - this is a bunk bed room which has harbour glimpses. The bunk beds are suitable for adults. This room can sleep 2. Bedroom 4 - this is a very large and light room which has amazing views, both of the harbour to the side of the house and the beach at the back of the house. This room can be set up as two singles or a superking. There are also two arm chair sofa beds that can be used as two singles. This room has an ensuite bathroom with a bath and shower. This room can sleep 4. Bedroom 5- bunk room with views of the harbour. The bunk beds can sleep adults. This is annexed off Bedroom 4 so makes it very suitable for use as a family room or for a group of friends. This room can sleep 2. There is also a well appointed shower room on the top floor. Middle Floor - The middle floor is an amazing open plan living and dining space which is great for entertaining. The living area has a huge, deep sofa which is perfect for reclining on to watch a movie or listen to music. There is a Bang and Olufsen TV system on this floor with Apple TV with access to over 200 films downloaded (mainly children's movies!) Netflix can also be played through this TV. The kitchen and dining room (breakfast bar) are designed to seat a large group. There are two table extensions available in order to seat 20 people at the dining table. It is a wonderful place to sit and watch the sunsets over the harbour which will take your breath away. The kitchen is really well equipped for cooking for large number. There is an electric range oven with 3 ovens and 5 induction rings. There are two fridge freezers, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, and Nespresso coffee machine. there is crockery, cutlery and glassware for 22 people. The kitchen has been designed to make things as easy as possible for a relaxing stay. Bottom Floor - The bottom floor has one bedroom Bedroom 6 - this can be set up as two single beds or a superking. It has views of the harbour. It is a very quirky round room. The large private 'games room' has table football, three sofas a TV (with netflix and sega mega drive games console), fridge freezer, stereo system and also decks. There is direct access to the garden through double doors from the games room. It is a fantastic room with amazing graffiti wall art. The two sofa beds can be used to sleep 2/4 people. Two additional floor mattresses can be added to the games room too. The utility room is also on this floor with a shower room and washer and dryer. The house has been designed to have fun for family/friendship groups. It can sleep a maximum of 21 people. If you are more than 16 guests there is a small additional charge over 16 guests - please state the number of people you wish to stay clearly at the point of booking. Garden - The outside space at the back of the house is decked with a large seating area. There is a gas BBQ available for use. The garden has been astro turfed and has a giant sandpit called "shark island" for children (and adults) to have fun in! There is a large storage area which has lots of fun beach/water activities including paddle boards, buckets and spades, balls etc. There is also a Table tennis table in the garden. The garden is secure at the front and back with a locked/coded gate. It is a fabulous location and the interior is completely different to what is expected!! It really is an amazing house that you will find very difficult to leave! Infants - There are two high chairs and travel cots at the property. There is a stair gate for the middle floor. For hosting groups I am happy to help with booking/organising activities at the house. For example - - A "beauty" day can be organised at the house with massage therapists, beauty therapists and hairdressers. This is a fun activity for all women groups who may be planning on going out for the evening! - Pilates / yoga instruction - Live art classes - Outside caterers - Cocktail classes I am also happy to help organise / book activities off site, for example - - Water sports activities - Golf days/lessons - Clay pigeon shooting - Taxi/coach bookings There is so much to do in the house and in the local area! There is ample parking for at least 5/6 cars. EVERYBODY loves it here!
The area is unique as it has access to the water on two sides - Harbour and beach. Sandbanks is probably one of the best known stretches of beach in the UK.

Although we already have very high cleanliness standards,and my wife and I take care of the change overs ourselves, I would like to reassure our guests that every effort is taken to thoroughly clean using antibacterial products on all surfaces during each change over. This is a wonderful part of Poole and just great for the kids as you have a big play park across the road with a great safe beach, there is a cafe and water sports venue, free tennis court, kids splash pool, and it has the most impressive sun sets. You can see all Poole Harbour islands from your holiday home and watch people enjoying themselves on the beach and park. It's just everything you need,all in one place, also great public house, the yachtsman , walking distance 5 mins away, Poole town is easy to get to via the coastal path across the road. Sandbanks and Rick Steins restaurant 3 miles away. Always something going on on the quay 20 mins walk.

Acton Studio is perfect for walkers as we are on the South West Coast Path, ideal for those wanting to get back to nature and unwind as we are off the beaten track.
Acton Studio is a recently converted compact purbeck stone outbuilding with double bed, wet room and kitchenette with table and stools. The kitchenette has an electric oven, hob, fridge, sink, kettle, toaster and essential kitchen items. Dorset tea, coffee, sugar and milk provided. The studio is located at the bottom of our rear garden, the studio has it's own private garden. There is parking but it is not adjacent to the property. Sit in the enclosed garden on a summer evening after a long hike relaxing with a beer or glass of wine. On a clear night and with no street lights you can gaze up at a sky full of stars.
Acton is a small tranquil hamlet of around forty Purbeck stone cottages with unmade roads throughout. There is two pubs within walking distance. The King's Arms in Langton Matravers (25 minutes) and the Square and Compass in Worth Matravers (30 minutes). The Square and Compass only serves pies and pasties. A couple of minutes in the car and you reach The Scott Arms in Kingston then a little further The Castle Inn and The Greyhound in Corfe Castle. The nearest shop is in Langton Matravers ( a twenty five minute walk) but please check that they are open. There are Coop and Budgen supermarkets in Swanage and lots of smaller shops (a ten minute drive). We are surrounded by fields, some with cows and sheep and we are located on the South West Coast Path incorporating breath-taking views. We are lucky to live in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, home to many rare plants and animals. The Purbeck coastline is part of the ninety-five mile stretch known as the 'Jurassic Coast', named England’s first natural world heritage site in 2002 because of the unique insight it offers into 185 million years of the Earth’s history.

*Our cleaning routine has always been a huge priority and we are continuing to ensure everything is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected between stays. We are a 3 minute drive from Poole ferry terminal for guests travelling to or from The Channel Islands or France. Poole Quay is a short drive or 20 minute walk. On your arrival there will be a welcome pack of fresh bread, croissants, milk, cereals, butter and a selection of jams. Parking is available on our driveway.
We offer a lovely light annexe space which includes an open plan kitchen/bedroom/living space and a separate shower room. Washing machine and tumble drier use is included as well as ironing facilities. There is a TV with a Now TV box offering movies, box sets and more...The kitchen area has a hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge. Washing machine, tumble drier, ironing board and iron. Please note that there is no oven.
Poole ferry terminal is just a 3 minute drive. We are a short walk away from Hamworthy Park which has a lovely little beach, big field and fantastic paddling pool and play area next to the cafe. Lake Pier is just up the road and is a beautiful little walk and beach area. Poole Quay is 5 minutes by car and has a large choice of pubs and restaurants as well as a beautiful marina area where you can admire some spectacular locally built Sunseekers. The fabulous purbeck coast is around a 30 minute drive away which includes the beautiful Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door and Kimmeridge... These areas are well worth a visit...

We live at one end of our house and at the other end is your GUEST WING with two bedrooms. Airbnb adjust the price to 1 bedroom for 1 to 2 people but if you enter 3 or 4 people the booking is then for 2 bedrooms. Welcome to the Guest Wing. When you arrive you will be the only guests staying with us and each day breakfast is included. The Guest Wing has 2 bedrooms available and the price will vary according to the season, half term's and Bank Holidays. In addition to your reservation you are very welcome to book the spare bedroom you are not using for members of your family, friends and/or any children over 2 years. If you wish to do so the price is £20 per person per night including breakfast. The Guest Wing has the following: 1) Kingsize Bedroom - Vi-Spring Regal, firm mattress (sleeps 2). A 32" Samsung TV and a DVD player. 2) Twin Bedroom (sleeps 2) - with prior arrangement these two large single beds (90 X 200cm) can be zipped together to form a Super Kingsize bed (180 X 200 cm). Two single duvets are provided not a super king size duvet. A 32" Samsung TV and a DVD player. 3) Shower Room - shower, toilet and basin. 4) Breakfast Room/Office - table, 4 chairs, fridge with small freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle. We provide a selection of teas, coffee, hot chocolate, Lavazza for the coffee press and biscuits for you to help yourself. 5) Large south facing patio and level garden - a peaceful sun trap to enjoy during the day and to stargaze and relax at night. Our White Company linen is 200 thread count Egyptian cotton, quilts and pillows are hypoallergenic and we supply fluffy towels. Continental breakfast is included in the price with choice of cereals, muesli, milk, orange juice, home made organic bread and we make organic natural yogurt, jams, marmalade, honey, fruit. We supply Lavazza Rossa for the coffee press or the Aerobie AeroPress Coffee Maker. There is a selection of teas e.g. English Breakfast Tea, Earl Grey, Green, Camomile, Peppermint and Cadbury's hot chocolate. Your breakfast is laid out the day before, each day we refill your mini-fridge and tidy up you simply help yourselves. Special diets are easily catered for e.g. vegans, vegetarians, gluten-free, etc. We have a Green Star Juicer should you wish to buy and juice your own carrots, beetroot, celery, apple etc BT Infinity Fibre Broadband, wireless, unlimited download. BT claims we have up to 52 Mb fibre optic it's more like 40Mb. A hairdryer is provided in each bedroom and a hot water bottle for each bed. You have a selection of games, maps, books, DVD's and plenty of local information and leaflets. On our large level driveway there is plenty of room to park up to four cars and we have a secure garage for bikes.
Our tarmac road is a quiet cul-de-sac in a beautiful, leafy, peaceful area of Swanage. It's a 10 - 15 minute walk, uphill, above the town centre, railway, bus station and the beautiful, soft, sandy beaches of Swanage Bay. Next to our house there are various footpaths leading to Durlston Country Park and Castle, Townsend Nature Reserve and the South Coast Path. You can walk the South Coast Path to Studland, Sandbanks and Poole, or go in the other direction to Worth Matravers (Square & Compass Pub), Corfe Castle, Kimmeridge Bay and Lulworth Cove. The Black Swan Inn/Pub is only a 10 minute walk down the hill, it serves delicious reasonably priced food (vegetarian and gluten free options) e.g. great fish pie, mussels, hamburgers, Jurassic Ribs, fish and chips and daily specials. Two of our German guests had no use of a car from the day they landed at Southampton airport until they returned to Germany. Instead of driving they wanted to hike, use the bus, or take the train. One day, they walked from our house to Poole Harbour via the ferry at Studland, at Poole Quay they caught the bus back to Swanage. On another occasion, we drove them to Lulworth Cove with a picnic, they then walked back to our house along the South Coast Path, arriving late that afternoon, exhausted, but elated. Several times they walked to Wareham and Corfe Castle and The Square & Compass pub at Worth Matravers.

This brand new high end luxury house is located on the world famous sandbanks peninsula. Only a few minutes walk to the golden sand and award wining blue flag beaches and just a 3 minute walk to the beautiful and world renowned rick stein restaurant. The space offers 4 generous bedrooms, multiple bathrooms and 2 large entertaining spaces. The kitchen is also well appointed with everything you will need. We also boast a very large garden which is well suited for children
A rare find on the sandbanks peninsula is the huge private outside space plus parking for multiple cars. The stunning location and beautiful finishes should meet all expectations. Downstairs offers 2 large sociable areas with a big open plan kitchen, sit up bar, dining and day room and a comfortable separate living room with huge TV! The living room now boasts a large corner sofa and also another corner sofa bed which contains a pull out double bed. Three of the four bedrooms are equipped with their own tv's, 2 are en-suite and 2 share the family bathroom. The front bedrooms over look the royal motor yacht club with a lovely view of the boats and the harbour. There is lots of soft mood lighting, feature windows, Italian porcelain, marble and luxury carpets throughout. The wraparound corner plot offer several outside spaces including a patio and large lawn, plus ample off road parking. Guests can really spread out in the house without feeling cramped or on top of each other. Guests will have private access to the entire property We like to leave guests to enjoy their own privacy but we are available and local should you need any help during your stay. we have a travel cot and high chair at the house if needed.
Sandbanks is in the top 4 most expensive places in the world to live....why? Because it is a fantastic place to be!! This house is surrounded by some of the most beautiful and expensive houses in the UK. More importantly than this it is surrounded by the nicest and cleanest beaches in the whole of the UK on the shores of one of the largest natural harbours in the world. Sandbanks is the ultimate 'staycation' !

Snuggle up in a comfy bed near a warm wood stove in a one-room, metal-clad cottage. Open French doors in the morning for a view past a low stone wall to the sea, and plan a day exploring nearby cliffs and coastline. Return in time for an outdoor BBQ.
Winspit (named after our favorite local beach) is the first hut as you enter the property. It has a stone wall at the bottom with flower beds surrounding a grass area, outdoor seating and a BBQ. Inside the hut there's a wood burning stove with cosy fireside seating, a fully equipped kitchen and a small pull out table looking out through the french doors. The double bed with sea views through the window opening provides a great nights sleep after a full day exploring the local area. Characterful, peaceful and clean accommodation set in a large garden with views of the Purbeck hills. Just 150 m from the historical Harmans Cross steam railway station and newly equipped children's play area. Perfect for families, cyclists and walkers. Purbeck has two ridges. We are situated in the valley between them. The inner ridge gives panoramic views of Poole Harbour, Corfe Castle and Swanage Bay while the outer ridge boasts breathtaking views of the Jurassic Coast.

The Garden Room is perfect for walkers as we are on the South West Coast Path and ideal for those wanting to get back to nature and unwind as we are off the beaten track. We are close to Corfe Castle and attractions in the Isle of Purbeck.
The Garden Room is a self contained, cosy double room overlooking the beautiful garden. The room is located in the rear garden of our house. The room has it's own seating area. There is a brand new double bed, breakfast table, separate wash basin and very compact wet room which is a combined toilet and shower space. Unfortunately not suitable for less abled people. Enjoy a continental style breakfast in the mornings; there is a kettle with tea and coffee, a toaster and small fridge supplied with milk, butter and preserves. There is Dorset Cereal, Kelloggs cereal and wholemeal bread for toasting. Gluten free diet can be catered for, please just let us know. Tap water is fron a mains supply so perfect for drinking. There is parking but it is not adjacent to the property and via unmade roads, not suitable for less abled people There is Wifi which can be very patchy at times and can drop out so please don't rely on it if you need it, very sorry but that's all we can do for the moment. Sit in the garden on a summer evening after a long hike relaxing with a beer or glass of wine. On a clear night, as there is no light pollution, you can gaze up at a sky full of stars.
Acton is a small tranquil hamlet of around fifty Purbeck stone cottages with unmade roads throughout. There is two pubs within walking distance. The King's Arms in Langton Matravers and the Square and Compass in Worth Matravers. The Square and Compass only serves pies and pasties but is a fantastic experience. The nearest shop is in Langton Matravers but please check that they are open. There are Coop and Budgen supermarkets in Swanage and lots of smaller shops. We are surrounded by fields, some with cows and sheep and we are located on the South West Coast Path incorporating breath-taking views. We are lucky to live in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, home to many rare plants and animals. The Purbeck coastline is part of the ninety-five mile stretch known as the 'Jurassic Coast', named England’s first natural world heritage site in 2002 because of the unique insight it offers into 185 million years of the Earth’s history.

The recently refurbished room is light and airy, looking out over the garden at the back of the house. It gets the sun in the afternoon and evening. The room is next to the shared bathroom. Fresh coffee and tea making facilities in room; breakfast, newspapers available on request. We are a friendly, sociable couple but respectful of guests privacy. Kate, my wife, is a beauty therapist and guests can book from a range of beauty treatments. We have a very friendly cat. Single guest discount.
There is a wooden framed double bed. The room overlooks the garden and gets the sun all afternoon and evening. The room is next door to the bathroom and toilet. Towels and toiletries provided. Various teas and fresh coffee in room.
The house is part of a late Victorian terrace in an area called Herston which has some lovely old local buildings. There is a good pub, The Globe, 50 yards down the road which has good beer, good food and garden. Opposite is an Indian restaurant, a fish and chip shop around the corner and a local shop with post office. It's a 20 minute walk/2 minute drive into the centre of Swanage with it's shops, supermarkets, many restaurants, other eateries and pubs. It has a blue flag beach set in a beautiful bay. It is a 'traditional' English seaside resort with a pier, Punch and Judy, weekly fireworks in August and all the amenities and attractions you'd expect. It is on the World Heritage 'Jurassic Coast' with stunning coastline and popular places such as Corfe Castle, Lulworth Cove and Studland Beach nearby. There is a steam railway from Swanage station.

Little Oddity Annex is bright and cosy accommodating two guests. Until recently,It was part of our cottage next door and is believed to have been built with stone from the Castle ruins It is now a separate self- contained unit with its own entrance. There is a small grass area outside the annex door with garden furniture and a barbecue for guests to use. Parking for one car is off road next to the annex It is a short walk to Corfe village, the Castle ruins, Church, shops and Steam railway
The annex has a bed-sitting room with a 5ft bed , comfortable furniture, TV etc. There is a kitchenette with sink unit, microwave and fridge, kettle and toaster. Also , plates, cups , cutlery etc. shelves and cupboard.Also,a shower room with wash-basin , shower and toilet. Due to Coronavirus, we’re taking extra care to disinfect frequently touched surfaces between reservations. H
There is a short walk down through the fields to the centre of Corfe Castle village. Views of the Castle, Church and the surrounding Purbeck hills are beautiful. The Castle is a must to visit and the views are spectacular.The village has cafes, gift shops, a bakery for fresh bread every day and an award winning general stores, There are also 4 pubs, all quite different and very popular.The model villageas a lovely coffee shop and you can stroll around the little“model visage“ in the grounds. This little studio is lovely and bright with it's own entrance. It has a small kitchenette and a shower room. It can be set up as a double or twin. There is a garden for your use which has stunning views of the hills and bay. It's close to the coastal path for wonderful walking opportunities and is just 0.8 mile/15 min walk, to the seafront/centre. Kitchenette has microwave,kettle, toaster, very small fridge, teas, coffee, milk, bread, preserves and cereals. Parking is on the road and plentiful
The studio is brick built and is completely self contained with its own entrance. It is light and bright, with a lovely view across to the purbeck ridgeway and the sea, when standing. The bedroom area measures approx 3.5x3.5 mtrs with a separate kitchenette and shower room. It should be noted that the ceiling slopes from 2.1 mtrs (6ft 9) at the front, to 1.9 mtrs (6ft 2) at the back. The bedroom and shower room have heating. I am told that the bed is extremely comfortable. It's a 5' 2" king size that can be split into two 2' 6" singles for twin occupancy. A fold up table and chairs is provided for you to dine in the bedroom. There is covered storage for bikes etc,and for walkers/cyclists to hang waterproofs to dry( please ask when you arrive). A launderette is just a few minutes away by foot. Please note that the fridge is only for bare essentials, as it is only about 18 inches square.
I am situated on the Jurrasic coast which is a World heritage site with walks along the coast plus the Purbeck Ridgeway, which affords stunning views over Poole Harbour on one side, the Purbeck Valley to the other, with Corfe Castle on the route. From my place it's easy to get onto the coast path (20 mins walk) and I'm also situated on the Priests Way which is a lovely 3.5 mile walk or cycle to the pretty village of Worth Matravers, with a superb vintage tea/ lunch /supper room the legendary Square and Compass pub(look it up) . The path has been recently resurfaced with loose stone so is accessible all year round. Most of the costal area is open access, so there are many other lovely walks from your door, including a walk through Dorset Wildlife Trust's Townsend Reserve, through to Dorset County Councils, Durlston Country Park and lots of National Trust Land. A few mins walk away is a caravan park with a bar and swimming pool for public use. There is a lovely safe beach in the town with easy access to the shops and eateries. within a short walk to there is a more secluded/ quieter beach, (north beach). The beach has again been awarded the coveted blue star for water quality in 2019 and North Beach is listed in the top 5 best beaches of Dorset . There are opportunities here to enjoy water and land sports such as kayaking, paddle boarding, coasteering, climbing etc. The RSBP nature reserve of Arne is nearby which was the location for the BBC's 2016/2017 Autumn Watch and Winter Watch highlighting its significant importance for wildlife, not only nationally but internationally too. The National Trust Studland Bay is 3 miles from here, with its fabulous 4 mile stretch of fine golden sands backed by an vast area of sand dunes and heathland full of wildlife. There are a few of good restaurants, and lots of lovely independent cafes in town. Daytime, Java is particularly good for coffee, vegan and vegetarian food, and Love Cake has a wide lunch /teatime menu. Evenings, Bliss and Chilled Red are recommended. All the pubs also serve food. The Black Swan is of particularly good quality (evening service Monday to Saturday and Sunday's lunch only) and is only a 5 min walk from here (early booking advisable. Phone them to book anytime after 5.30 daily ). A few of the pubs have live music at the weekends, but not all, so you can avoid that if you wish. There is a good variety of small independant shops selling a range of goods to suit various budgets, ideal for a good mooch about town. There are two supermarkets in the town both open until late Mon to Sat, a mini market close by that opens everyday until 20.00 including Sundays. Also Arkwrights spar convenience store open daily, from early to 22.00 is about a 5 min walk and the Texaco garage spar shop, a 10 min walk, is open early until 23.00. The Purbeck area and Swanage itself, hosts a wide variety of music and arts festivals, throughout the year to cover most people's taste. Also many organised walks, and nature based events led by various experts are available throughout the year too. The Web site 'Visit Dorset.com' is a good source of information for the local area and beyond. Walking into the centre of town from here is 10 /15 mins on lit streets, that are switched off at midnight.

Walk in to the village of Westbourne/Alum Chine in 10 minutes, it’s a highly desirable area to live. With the sea on one side and Bournemouth and Poole town centres either side. Take a trip to the very exclusive area of Sandbanks which is the 4th most expensive place to buy houses in the world (apparently). The tropical gardens are only a five minute stroll away from here too.

This listing is for a double room in our lovely, rural and peaceful house in Purbeck. The bedroom has a small double bed with quality linen, free WiFi and a TV with freeview. The room also has hanging space, chest of drawers, bedside tables and lamps, and a desk and chair. A day bed can either be used within the double booking for 2 people or to accommodate 3 people in this room for an additional charge of £20 per night. Please note that the bedroom is upstairs and the shared bathroom and toilet are downstairs via a single flight of well-lit stairs. The property is a detached house at the top of a narrow lane with plenty of parking space on our driveway.
We can recommend a good variety of eating places from lovely rural pubs, cheerful seaside cafes and nearby takeaways to world class restaurants! There are two petrol stations and a small supermarket a short drive down our lane, plus a wider selection of shops in both Swanage and Wareham. Swanage plays host to a number of music festivals each year encompassing jazz, blues and folk. The annual Purbeck Valley Folk Festival is just 15 minutes walk down the lane. Lulworth Castle, the venue for Camp Bestival in July and Bestival in September is only 35 minutes drive or taxi ride from us. For art lovers there is Purbeck Art Week which takes place in May/June but also several local art galleries. We are ideally placed for both Swanage and Wareham's small cinemas, and Poole's Lighthouse theatre and concert halls are a short drive away. If you fancy spotting some wildlife at Durlston or Arne or taking a boat to Brownsea island, none are far away. Corfe Castle is a popular attraction for those interested in our local heritage. Various food festivals, walking and running events as well as Swanage and Harmans Cross Steam Railway (just down the lane) themed weekends and vintage car rallies take place throughout the summer months and the fun-filled Swanage carnival week in July is not to be missed!

Our lovely first floor flat is in an elevated position just off the town centre offering views to the sea from the lounge. Less than 2 minute walk to the beach. The property offers 1 good sized double bedroom and a small room with 2 single beds (READ BELOW). We can also provide a travel cot if requested. The apartment also offers a fully applianced kitchen and bathroom ( small bath with shower over) with everything you would need for your stay. WIFI is also included.
The flat occupies the first floor in a converted Victorian house and is a few minutes walk from Swanage Beach. This apartment would easily accommodate 4 and is very comfortable and homely. There are two single beds in the small second bedroom. One is a pull out so is close to the floor. We also have a sofa bed in the lounge if this is preferred. However, please note:- we do not allow 6 guests as the apartment is too small. There is free street parking outside the property however if it is full there is plenty of free parking up the road just a few minutes walk and everything in Swanage is in walking distance. We offer all basic cooking supplies, coffee machine, and pretty much every utensil you could think of if you like cooking! There are also four stools round a breakfast bar/island so you can sit down to eat.
The property is close to all amenities, and a short walk to the main square with chips shops, pubs and the stone quay and pier.

'St Aldhelm's View' is a very versatile holiday home. The house is in need of some modernisation but provides a wonderful base for walking the Purbeck hills and coastline, and visiting the surrounding area. Worth Matravers is beautiful in all seasons. It’s just a few minutes walk to the Square and Compass pub, where they serve real ale and home made cider and pasties! The house is very adaptable and the large bedrooms make it very flexible.
There are two bedrooms upstairs, both with double beds. Both these rooms are very spacious. Downstairs there are two further bedrooms, one with two single beds, and the other with twin beds that can be zipped together to make a king sized double. The space is very versatile.
Worth is such a pretty Purbeck village, with a village green and pond, a Norman church, tea rooms, and the Square and Compass pub. The popular smugglers pub has a museum, folk music, real ales, and homemade pasties. The coast at Winspit or Seacombe is rugged but spectacular and there are many longer walks for the more intrepid rambler

My cosy, warm 2nd floor flat welcomes you. The room’s at the rear of the building, where street noise is at a minimum. Only minutes walk both to the Quay & town centre. Close to the historic Old Town & Poole museum & lovely rooftop cafe (well worth a visit!) I provide a continental breakfast & can accommodate individual tastes, wherever possible. Bus & railway stations, ferry port, shopping centre, theatre & hospitals are extremely close by. Also near to High Street & all pubs & restaurants!
Guests have a quiet, clean, cosy and very warm double room to themselves; with a home from home feel. There’s a chest of drawers and a large wardrobe with hangers. The guest room, as it is at the back of the flats is quieter and away from the road. The room is centrally heated, but there is a small fan heater too if needed. There are extra pillows and blankets if needed. There are bedside draws available for 2 guests’ usage. Provided are towels, toiletries & a hairdryer in the bedside drawer. Guests have use of a very recently refurbished loo & bathroom including a bath and a shower. Also a fully equipped & sunny kitchen, with a table & 2 comfy stools to eat breakfast at. My flat backs onto a quiet communal garden and is in easy walking distance to both the Quay & the town centre. Both rail & bus stations are approximately a 10 minute walk from here. Poole General Hospital is 15 mins away. The Lighthouse Theatre is an easy 10 minute walk away. The ferry terminal is a 20 - 30 minute walk away, depending on how much luggage you have – but it is also a very short taxi ride away ~ approx £5-6.
I am right in the thick of things – only a 5 minute walk into town or to the Quayside. Getting around is very easy and there is a bus, coach and train station within a 10 minute walk from my flat. Also the Poole Town Circular bus stops around the corner from my flat. The Lighthouse Theatre is a 10/15 minute walk. There are large supermarkets ~ Sainsbury’s and Aldi’s, within a 10 minute walk from the flat. Even closer, there is a Tesco’s Express upon the key – five minutes walk, and a Little Sainsbury’s in the High Street, for your convenience ~ both are open early till late. Buses, coaches and trains to Sandbanks, Bournemouth, Weymouth, Swanage, Dorchester & London Waterloo are very frequent, often twice-hourly, depending upon the service, destination and your chosen day of travel.

Shepherds hut is situated in our Tearooms yard. Tearooms is open daily until 5pm. After 5pm the yard is closed to the public. Tearooms close for winter beginning of October. Use of BBQ , just bring your own charcoal. Our farm is 5 minutes walk from the village shop, local pub , church and beaches . ( cold water shower at middle beach) Beautiful area for walking. A very popular walk is to Old Harry Rocks & Ballard Down to Swanage. Bus stop to Swanage & Bournemouth only 5 minutes walk

The Hut is situated deep within the Purbeck Valley between Corfe Castle & Swanage and is central to local iconic walking routes. approximately 2 acres of private grassy paddocks flowing streams and woodland surround this beautiful little hidden gem. the area is also home to an abundance of local wildlife as well as few ponys, sheep and farm cats which may come and pay you visit time to time. The Hut itself has a well equipped Kitchenette with a kettle toaster, electric hobs, utensils and mini fridge. A newly fitted hand crafted double bed for the best night sleep with storage below. the lounge consists of two arm chairs with an electric wood burner. The facility's are private to this rental are newly fitted and is situated in separate shepherds hut 30meters from the hut and includes a electric power shower, toilet, sink and heated towel rail. All bed linen and towels are also provided. Outside we have a firepit with logs provided so just bring the marsh mellows! A hammock under tree to get out of the mid-day sun. Outdoor seating is also provided along with a bistro style dinning table.
You are a 3minutes drive to both Swanage and Corfe Castle, Worth Matravers with walking routes available all around and straight from the site. (OS map provided) The nearest convenience store is in Harman's Cross and Langton Matravers a 1 minute drive away.

Hi! Welcome to the shepherds hut. It’s a lovely little hideaway on a working beef farm, just outside the picturesque village of Corfe Castle in the Isle of purbeck, Dorset. It’s a great location to use as a base for exploring the local area. The beautiful sandy beach of studland is just a 10 minute drive away, but if you don’t fancy driving, you can catch the steam train in the village to swanage beach instead!
Parking is available infront of the hut on the gravel drive. The outdoor hot shower is located just outside the hut. The toilet block is 30m away outside the farmhouse.
We are spoilt for choice with beaches in the Purbecks. If you fancy a sandy beach, head to swanage or studland, just 5-10 minutes away. If pebble beaches are more your thing then lulworth, durdle door and worbarrow bay are 20 minutes away. And If you want rock pools and ledges, Kimmeridge and dancing ledge are 10-15 minutes away. Other near by attractions include worth matravers, monkey world, the tank museum, the blue pool, sculpture by the lakes, old harry rocks, brownsea island, Dorset water park and lulworth castle to name a few.

Single room opposite Alum Chine leading directly to the beach from where you can walk to Bournemouth in 15 minutes. You would be the only guest staying and bathroom would only be shared with flat owner. TV in room with outside aerial. Ten minutes walk to Westbourne where restaurants and 2 supermarkets can be found and numerous buses. Check in from 11am and check out 10.30am

The house is in a quiet close with plenty of parking. It is 5 minutes walk from a sandy beach with lovely view of the Harbour. The room has a TV, Fridge,Microwave and Tea/Coffee facilities as well as plenty of storage. The area has good public transport and is a 5 minute drive to Poole Ferry Port. Late check in is fine if you are coming by boat. If you want to bring an extra guest we can squeeze in a fold up bed. Please read our statement regarding COVID 19 in the Guest Access Section
We are near to the sandy beach, Hamworthy Park, Rockley Holiday Park and Poole Harbour. There are two very nice bars serving good food within a few minutes walk.(One is now just a takeaway and the other one is closed but this will change once the Government relaxes the rules due to the Covid 19 Virus. We have a very friendly cocker spaniel, plenty of parking, continental breakfast and towels are provided. If you are coming by bicycle or motorcycle you are welcome to store overnight in our garage. The room has its own private shower and toilet that you will find down stairs. This room is for your use only.

A lovely central, light, comfortable room with fantastic views. Great for walkers, birdwatchers, beach lovers and more. Please note this is a third floor flat, so plenty of stairs! In centre of town next to a busy pub so can be a bit noisy at times.

Right in the centre of beautiful Swanage. You could not be closer to pubs, shops, cafes, restaurants and the beach!

Purbeck Shepherd Huts are a new boutique glamping offering in the heart of Worth Matravers. We have two huts, each with their own private gardens that have been designed and hand crafted to a beautiful finish. Both huts are completely self contained with everything you should need for a truly memorable stay. Each has a wood burning fire, kitchen, bathroom and a raised bed looking out of the window down to the sea. We hope you enjoy.
Chapmans Pool (named after the stunning local beach where we got engaged) is the corner hut that looks down towards the sea. It has a stone wall at the bottom with flower beds surrounding a grass area, outdoor seating and a BBQ. Inside the hut there's a wood burning stove with cosy fireside seating, a fully equipped kitchen and a breakfast bar looking out through the double doors. The double bed with sea views through the window opening provides a great nights sleep after a full day exploring the local area. There is also a small connected bathroom with powerful shower, loo and sink.
