Esto no es un recorrido de café comercial, es una experiencia educativa para crear conciencia en la única plantación de café de especialidad orgánica de la zona de Monteverde, situada en el Santuario Ecológico, un proyecto familiar de 48 hectáreas centrado en la conservación, sostenibilidad, agroecología, educación y la cultura. En un taller guiado por un experto donde aprenderás de los elementos básicos de la agricultura ancestral, cómo creamos nuestros propios fertilizantes orgánicos, luego conocerás los jardines de café plantados en el bosque que rodea el Santuario Ecológico, el área de secado y el proceso que implica el café de especialidad (historia, plantaciones, crecimiento, desarrollo, variedades y la ciencia del sabor para preparar un buen café). Después de salir del bosque, disfrutaremos de una degustación de café guiada, agudizando los sentidos para reconocer defectos, atributos, aromas y sabores en diferentes cualidades del café. Por último, crearemos una demostración interactiva de la ciencia del sabor y de todas las variables que un alquimista aplica en la preparación de un café utilizando diferentes métodos de infusión. Este taller es una experiencia que ampliará tu conocimiento del mundo del café y te ayudará a convertirte en un barista y un consumidor informado. During the tour we will be driving atvs around beaches, mountains and towns, also we will be visiting viewpoints in the top of the hills to get beautiful pictures, the tour starts at playa Brasilto where you are going to get clear instruction of how to operate the atvs, also you will get all the safetly equipment, after this we will start driving north from Brasilito, diving along the coast line, going around playa Brasilto, playa flamingo and playa Potrero, after this we will visit the top of the hills and enjoy at the viewpoint, from here you will be able to see the best ocean view, all along the way we will be looking for Howler monkeys, after this we will return to playa Brasilto and finish the tour. Other things to note Bring beach clothes, we will stop at beach and is optional if you want to swim on the ocean, sunscreen is very important and don’t forget your camera

Nos encontraremos en el Hotel Villa Amarilla, donde hablaremos de las condiciones: marea, viento, olas, etc. Allí te cambiarás en un guardia de erupción, te pondrás bloqueador solar y guardarás tus pertenencias. Luego nos dirigiremos a la playa, que está a solo unos pasos, y comenzaremos la clase en tierra. Revisaremos cómo pararnos en la tabla, dónde poner tu peso, consejos de seguridad y lo que haremos en el agua. ¡Un poco de práctica apareciendo en la arena y luego nos dirigiremos al agua para empezar a poner todo lo que acabas de aprender a la prueba! ¡Allí te acompañaré en las olas y empezaremos a surfear! What will do will be this , first We will start by meeting at the my place at playa Brasilto where we are going to start the activity, once we are there I’m going to start by giving you instruction about how to use the atvs and give you all the safety equipment (helmet, goggles ) afther this we will do a small practice to help you get confidence with the atv driving skill, ones we are ready we will start driving the atvs north from Playa Brasilito, visiting playa flamingo, playa Potrero, playa Penca, along this 3 beaches we will stop to take pictures, afther this we will start driving through the Congo trail, one stop we get to the Congo trail zipline we will do the zipline, (this will take 1.5 hours), afther this we will get into the monkey sanctuary, ( 3 diferent type of monkeys and more) ones we finish this we will start going down the Congo trail and fisnish the tour at Playa Brasilito where we first meet. Other things to note Bring camera, sunscreen, comfortable clothes, bandana or face mask and get ready to have fun. Carry driving license on the tour.

We'll meet at Pico Bistro (a cafe located right by Tamarindo beach) and pick out a surf board and rash guard for you. Before getting into the water we will go through safety the correct way to paddle, hot to stand up and some surf etiquette. Before going into the water you will practice popping up a few times on the sand and when you feel ready we'll go into the water. In the water your instructor will be on your side all the time, giving you tips to help you improve your surfing as we go. Your instructor will make sure you have fun and feel comfortable, and get you riding your first wave! The lesson is 1.5-2h long depending on how many people we send per instructor. If you are a more experienced surfer, we can discuss what you want to improve and then in the water your instructor will give you pointers on how to perfect your surfing.

If you like mammals such as sloths, armadillos, active birds such as owls, amphibians, reptiles, and many insects, then this is the opportunity to carry out an outdoor activity and learn more about the nocturnal behavior of many species of flora and fauna. It is an easily accessible route of around 2 kilometers, the ‘jewels’ of the cloud forest shine brighter at night. With luck, we will even be able to observe the famous bioluminescent mushrooms. the place where I do the night walk is very close to the center of Monteverde Santa Elena, it takes only 5 minutes by car. Nuestro día comienza en Curubande de Liberia. La cascada está bien escondida en las afueras del volcán Rincón de la Vieja. El sendero es de un solo carril de 1,7 millas (2,7 kilómetros), por lo que juntos son 6 km. Hay algo de escalada para hacer en elevación y algunas cuevas para cruzar. Posteriormente para llegar a la cascada tendríamos que nadar 25 metros. Una vez que terminemos con la Cascada La Leona continuaremos hacia Poza La Pipa (Pozas La Pipa) en Curubande donde se cruzan los ríos Blanco y Colorado, formando cañones y hermosos paisajes por lo que el agua en sus pozas tiene ese tinte turquesa especial.

Departing from the beach in Tamarindo at 1:30 pm you will enjoy a four and one half hour (4 1/2) hour sail along Costa Rica's spectacular coastline in one of the purpose built catamarans found within the Marlin del Rey Sailing Tours fleet - the 66 foot Marlin del Rey, the 65 foot New Marlin or the 65 foot Marlin Tres.  All are open and spacious which allows our passengers to comfortably enjoy the blue water views of the glorious Costa Rican coastline with its pristine beaches and verdant jungles from the bow trampolines, lounge on the roof deck, man the wheel with the captain or relax, one of the oversized tables found in the shaded area of the main salon and ultimately experience one of the brilliant Costa Rican sunsets. This kayak experience is not to be missed. What appears to be normal dark water, will light up WHEN YOU TOUCH IT. As the night grows dark, we'll step into our comfortable kayaks and get ready for a personal encounter with this remarkable phenomenon. We will lead you to the best spots, where sparkling algae accumulates. For a full hour, you will be enchanted by how every stroke of your paddle leaves behind a swirl of light, and fish light up their path like shooting stars in the water. The more YOU splash the water the more bioluminescent light you will experience. You are in command, the algae will NOT glow on its own, you have to ACTIVATE it with YOUR hands or the paddle. Come a bit early to enjoy the beautiful sunset over the bay and a nice cup of Costa Rican coffee, juice, and some snacks. You'll get a briefing, a suitable life jacket, before we go to the launch area for the kayaks. It will be like going on a cozy family tour, as the maximum group size is 10 people. We'll stop along the way, and explain more about the magical glowing water and marine life in the bay. When we return fresh water is available, as well as bathroom facilities, if needed. Después de salir del bosque, disfrutaremos de una degustación de café guiada, agudizando los sentidos para reconocer defectos, atributos, aromas y sabores en diferentes cualidades del café. Por último, crearemos una demostración interactiva de la ciencia del sabor y de todas las variables que un alquimista aplica en la preparación de un café utilizando diferentes métodos de infusión. Este taller es una experiencia que ampliará tu conocimiento del mundo del café y te ayudará a convertirte en un barista y un consumidor informado.
