“I'm going to be honest - this is the only restaurant on my list that I haven't actually been to. But I'm adding it to this list because most locals will talk about and recommend DAP house. Will update this description when I get around to visiting :) *This is located right around Uptown District - just drive towards campus down 5th St! There is a public parking lot in Uptown with free parking for 2 hours, so it's a great spot to visit.”

“The Scullery is my favorite brunch place and they offer Southern dishes. Their hours are shorter in the summer, but I believe they are open until 5 during the school year. They also have homemade ice cream, but I've never tried it because I'm always too full by the time I've finished my meal! *This is located right in Uptown - just drive towards campus down 5th St! There is a public parking lot in Uptown with free parking for 2 hours, so it's a great spot to visit.”

“This is a great place to grab breakfast, a snack, or dessert! Like the name implies, they specialize in lil waffles. I really like their waffle breakfast sandwiches (which look small but are pretty filling) and they have a nice selection of dessert waffles. They also have coffee and a small seating area with free wifi. *This is located right around Uptown District - just drive towards campus down 5th St! “Family owned, friendly staff, worth the trip to “the other side of town.” Try their hot and sour soup, it never disappoints! If you are lucky enough to be served by Carol, tell her Justin and Israel sent you.”
