Plum Tree Gardens (small rustic home)

Our wee rustic guesthouse is in Ngongotahā which is 7km's from Rotorua CBD. The guesthouse is set in our back garden along with our 3 chooks & 9 year old Golden Lab Rex & new puppy Alfie. The space is private, with double bedroom & comfy queen bed & basic ensuite. There's a separate lounge with kitchenette & dining space, a small smart TV & cozy sofa, surrounded by a deck with gas BBQ. We are by no means luxurious, but do guarantee inspiration, character & ample love for our wee rustic home.

We love Rotorua & want you to love it too. So many things on our door step, choosing what to do can be hardest part, but we are happy to help. World class mountain biking trails in the Whakawerawera forest - only a 10minute cycle, central city in a 20min walk down the road and the choice of 2 golf courses close by. Hard to walk past the amazing boutique bakery, which is just around the corner. We hope our cosy bed for the night, helps your explore Rotorua and you love it as much as we do!

Our studio is located central to Rotorua township, tourist attractions, redwood forest & much more. You have full access to your own fully self-contained private studio with separate entrance. Enjoy the views into our manicured garden from your private patio. Our quiet street offers secure parking onsite (storage for bikes/sports equipment), short walking distances to supermarkets, local shops, easy access to bus routes. Excellent choice for solo travelers, couples, business travelers.

The Penthouse Studio at Lake Tarawera

This spacious studio apartment is set in native bush at Lake Tarawera, at the back of a lake-front property. However, it does have great views of the lake. It has one main room which includes a kitchen area, a dining room table, a lounge and beds and there's a separate bathroom. It is accessed up a flight of stairs with a laundry for use downstairs. Wifi is available. There is an outdoor patio, with comfortable furniture, sun umbrella and magnificent views across the lake to the mountain.

The Cabin - Fantail Grove, Hamurana, Rotorua.

The Cabin is located at Hamurana, in a 2 acre garden setting 350m from Lake Rotorua. Located 120 m from the owners house and is completely private. All around are Sugar Maples with ferns and native plants underneath which attract the fantails. Purpose built and architecturally designed in 2019 as a holiday retreat using passive home guidelines. The cabin is a 15 minute drive from Rotorua CBD, close to all tourist attractions while allowing you the peace and quiet of a luxury retreat.

Riverside Cottage Homestay on Lake Rotorua

Nestled on the banks of the peaceful Ngongotaha trout stream, Riverside Cottage is your perfect Rotorua retreat. Wake to birdsong and watch the sun set over the water and valley beyond. We’re a short drive to Rotorua’s restaurants and hot pools— close to Mitai Māori Village, Zorb, the Gondola, and Luge. Paradise Valley is nearby as are a local café, bakery, and superette. Riverside Cottage has all key amenities — comfy beds, fast WiFi, well-stocked kitchen and a washing machine.

Welcome to Te Kāinga Rangimārie – a cosy, peaceful retreat on a 2ha lifestyle property with beautiful lake views. Enjoy nature, animals and a relaxed rural setting, while being close to Rotorua and Taupō attractions, including Wai-o-tapu and our local natural hot pools. The unit sleeps up to 4 and has two connected rooms, a bathroom and kitchenette. The main kitchen is shared with me in the main house. Three friendly dogs are part of the household. Newly renovated in August 2026.

The Summer House is located in Rotorua, nestled in the private and secure back garden of our property in the peaceful neighbourhood of Tihi-O-Tonga. 5km to central city, 1km to mountain bike tracks and geothermal attractions. Arrive and relax...many of our guests describe it as their home away from home!

Just 12 minutes from Rotorua, this idyllic haven is superbly located in the Ngongotaha Valley. The cottage is airy, sunny and comfortable, with a large living space, two bedrooms, bathroom and laundry. The cottage is cool in summer and double glazing and a heat pump ensures it is warm and cosy in winter.
