Big Bear’s Den - On Lake Alexander

This spacious home is located on beautiful Lake Alexander just west of Merrill, Wisconsin. Enjoy the tranquil view year-round as you plan the many activities that this location offers. You bring the boat, and we'll supply the dock. Throw in your ski's or wakeboard, and don't forget your fishing poles! Three pound small mouth bass are not uncommon and the monster's of fresh water fish, the musky, are plentiful. Add in walleyes, crappies, northern pike and this location is a fisherman's dream!

Relax and play at this adorable cottage, on the water or on the trails. The Lake Effect on Lower Post Lake gives all the feels. It takes place before you arrive, the nature, the trees, the “up north” vibe. This beautiful lake home greets you with wonderful pine throughout. You can see the lake from the first steps in the door. It's modern and bright. The property sits higher up from the lake giving you an eye-level view of the peaceful surroundings. The Heart of Vilas County Bike Trails and numerous Hiking trails are just minutes away. The #5 Snowmobile/ATV trail runs across the front of the property along Hwy 51 and we are surrounded by many area lakes and the Northern Highland State Forest.

Our Breakfast at Tiffany House sits on Yellow Birch, has dock/water access for your toys, is a short walk from downtown shopping and events. Room for parking trailers, close to snowmobile/ATV trails and snowmobile/boat rentals! We supply 2 adult kayaks, 1 children’s kayak, 2 inflatable paddle boards, and life jackets. Pine Tree Lodge

Genuine log cabin with all the comforts needed for a relaxing getaway to nature. Privacy, room to roam. Huge firepit area with abundant seating. Good fishing. Spectacular fall foliage. Winter-direct access to snowmobile trails or stay cozy indoors in front of the fireplace. There are a few taxidermy species mounted on walls. Board games. Three TVs. Dish Network and Internet. Not a good swimming lake but other lakes for swimming and boating within 5-10 minutes away.

Enjoy our small ranch house with a walk out basement to bring you to the shoreline of Boom Lake, the heart of the Rhinelander Chain of Lakes (Boom, Bass, Thunder, Lake Creek, and Wisconsin River Flowage). It is considered one of the best fishing destinations in Northern Wisconsin. The surface water area is over 1700 acres with 35 miles of shoreline for boating, skiing, swimming, jet skiing, and fishing!
