The dock is just 60 rods down a private portage to Little Ollie/Poplar Lake with easy access to the BWCA. In the winter, have the luxury of walking right out the door to the start of the renowned Banadad Ski Trail! Few places offer such privacy!

The Barn at Poplar is located 40 minutes from Grand Marais, just off the Gunflint Trail on beautiful Poplar Lake! You can either enjoy the lake from the deck, screen porch or take the gentle slope down to the dock for easy access to fishing, swimming, or canoeing. The cabin includes four bedrooms, two baths and a fully-equipped kitchen with brand-new appliances. We have a canoe for guest use and there is a public access nearby if you want to bring your own boat.
